When Diablo was first released it was a game meant for geeks. It held an old-school classic environment that players who experienced the first game appreciate and remember.
Now the game has lost that. Unfortunately Blizzard has gotten greedy and the quality of their gaming has went down in the years. The franchise is basicually a cash-cow now that's just milking off the fanbase and the now newly extended casual game-base. The company is no longer about it's roots.
Same what they've done to World of Warcraft. It's just turned into a mockery of nerfs, casuals easy mode gameplay, and messy update expansions.

Originally posted by Valua Yep, expect numerous clones in the immediate future. This will happen as long as the lemmings mindlessly pay for overhyped games. I used to laugh every time I saw a post on here that went along the lines of "OMFG Diablo 3 is coming out! I can hardly wait to throw my money at this inevitably god-like example of a game!" Suckers. |

I dont know if they made as much profit as people seem to believe.Took them 10 years to release the game that had to mean alot of money was put into making the game and while nobody can argue that blizzard made alot of money on the first week/month (i dont have the numbers if someone do i would like to know) the negative feedback has prolly pushed of many gamers that didnt buy diablo 3 right away. Also i believe blizzard was depending alot on the real money auction house to keep making money, i heard the game population has dropped quite a bit (read on diablo 3 official forum dont know how true that rings) and that the game is populated by alot of bots exploring this feature so i dont see they making alot of money out of it on the long run and possible expansion packs wont sell well since most people that did buy the original diablo 3 are extremely dissapointed. |

Bliz: Does it even matter? The milti-million fanbase will have that "wake up call" sedated by the time Titan comes out. They will all be willing to throw money our way once again. It happened before and it will happen again, again...a |

Heh , no. And who cares? You got Torchlight 2 releasing next month and GrimDawn releasing somewhere in 2013. So Diablo 3 is already forgotten in the back of my mind and the box I've bought along with the dvd are far in my closet. :P |

Lol at OP. The only thing Blizzard gives a flying fuck about is box sales. Diablo 3 did well so they will make more shitty games following the shitty formula developed by their watered down MMO development team. |

It has been studied and proven that money makes you deaf, dumb, and crazy (thats why I'm poor, smart, and well adjusted), so no, just no. mmorpg.com/blogs/Xobdnas |

Who did wrong? The advertiser hired to sell the game or the consumer who put faith in advertising? |

I believe actions speak louder than words. With 6mil+ copies sold and one of the top ten most played games on the internet - those are players actions. Whining and moaning on the forums - those are players words. Blizzard is paying attention to our actions. |

Was ashamed before I purchased it then I was ashamed after when I purchased it. Good news is that if I make a stink about it I can still get a refund. I didn't dislike the game as much as some but, I haven't put nearly as many hours in it as some of you guys, I just unlocked hell a week or so ago and haven't logged in since. Replaying old content at higher difficulties isn't my style either. Hopefully I will not make the same mistake in the future with game purchases. I will say that if the game were $30 or less than maybe I would have been completely satisfied with the purchase. |

Originally posted by Trionicus Are you serious? I've been spending $60 on games since the fuckin SNES. :P My $60 on Diablo 3 gave me more hours of fun per dollar spent than Duke Nukem Forever, Dead Island, LA Noire, and really countless other games. Unlike Diablo 3, where my long list of complaints is because I enjoyed the game enough to play for quite a while (a solid month), the above games I ditched so fast that I don't even have a long list of complaints for them. |
