Gamestop lies, a lot, but also there is a difference between pre-ordering and pre-purchasing. Cancel your pre-order and pre-purchase straight from www.guildwars2.com, you'll get beta access and 3 day headstart (instead of the 1 day headstart from pre-ordering).

Same goes for everyone else, go buy it, you know you're going to anyway, quit wasting time trying to get free keys, lol.

It would be better to just hand them to friends and family that are interested in games like these to play with them. There probably won't be a free trial until awhile. That or you could try posting them here on the forum for others.

Thanks for the heads up Sebber, I think I'll try this beta weekend just to see how this game is. Watching videos never actually gives you the full impression.

i think the register server on gw2 website crashed... it keeps giving me an error.. anyone else having problems?

Not managing to register the key at this time, same error over and over. Will try again when the US is awake. Tried with IE and Chrome. Server Error 502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server.

According to curse forums you just refresh the error page and it will give a conformation. I just tried and it worked on my 2nd refresh. :)

The Keys don't need to be regestered straight away, anytime up to the beta event is ok, just leave pleanty of time for downloading the client

Thanks for the heads up, i got a key but can't get it registered yet, will try again later as I am just getting the same error over and over.

EDIT: It has finally worked, took about 10 refreshes.

I guess everyone have a chance now to get a key for the last beta. The giveaway started 2 hours ago and so far, there are '' MORE '' keys, so if you have a friend, brother/sister or need key urself, hurry on and get ur own. 

I have got some extra keys for friends and am downloading the client now on my new computer. Already 95% after 30 minutes of downloading ;)

I'm on about 20 refreshes now with the 502 error, still no dice :|

Download done after around 33 minutes, really great to see the starting page :P
