Anyone?

=)

Since I heard it's a themepark should I expect WOW endgame or anything extra?

I also heard it has some PvP. What's the point of it?

Dungeons, PvP,  Gather lore and skill point will be your endgame for TSW.

It has a few raid instances ("lairs") already which are 10 man.  As for these there really isn't any information about them, as far as I know nobody has attempted them yet and I don't think they posted any raid content previews like they did on AoC's release.

Winning PvP zones for your faction awards several faction wide bonuses which strength depend on the number of these zones controlled.

Raptr link because it's the cool new trend:

From what I understand, PvE endgame is similar to others, in that there are a variety of instances, as well as some open world bosses.

PvP endgame centers around three faction RvR and capturable zones, so that should be somewhat more meaningful than one-off battlegrounds.

*shrugs* Don't know. In fact, i don't even know what a feature as to have to be considered endgame. Raiding is just a dungeon but with a few more players instead of the traditional 5, but that seems to make it magically different for players.

To me, i care about the journey and TSW give possibly the best one for any TP, so i'm good. It doesn't seem to have the traditional one, no, but maybe there's something Funcom hasn't shown us.

Lots of question marks, but the only one that matters is "anything extra?" and the answer is the ARG's that will require the whole community to solve, if that means nothing to you then there is a good chance The Secret World is not quiet the cup of tea you are looking for as its key selling point is the ARG and how it plays into the whole game from quests to raids.

Because flying a Minmatar ship is like going down a flight of stairs on an office chair while firing an Uzi.

This is from an interview geforce did with Martin Bruunsgaard:

http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/interview-with-funcom/

"End game is a different monster to tackle. I think one of the biggest faults of MMOs today is that they create content for the players to consume, and when it's consumed, players never visit it again. Reusing the content in a clever way can make development cost lower, and player enjoyment bigger. Our game is slightly different from other MMOs since we don't have any level, and end game is a bit harder to define, but players will have plenty to do. All our dungeons are available in different difficulties, and some of them are insanely hard. This will only be for the best of the best. Also, in every zone the player has played through will have certain camps with monsters that were too hard for them to fight when they visited the zone for the first time. However, when they are strong enough, they can go back and whoop the monsters' asses. By doing this they will gather different puzzle pieces, which they can combine, and then summon forth a demon to fight. If they are successful they will get some nice gear, but a also another puzzle piece. If a player gathers enough of these puzzle pieces, they can summon the region boss, which is a huge baddie! Fighting these guys will require lots of players and very nice coordination. These guys will drop even better gear, but also a puzzle piece. These pieces are for the world boss, which is... Well... Let's just say you need to be a pretty frikking awesome player to tackle him...

In addition to all of this we have lots of PvP the players can have fun with. Everything from some quick action minigames, to persistent world domination PvP. We will also have social features like dance floors, a theater and bars to hang out in. We will also release our first raid, very shortly after release."

What's and ARG ? :o

Quite curious about this "endgame" question my self, since I really do enjoy the game, and wondering as there's only those 8 zones, and I'm not really sure what's "after" that sort of thing ?

THIS

I have been waiting for a while for a game that was enjoyed and savored, instead of the "mad dash to end game at breakneck speed, ignoring almost all content,  and then complaining there is nothing to do" model that so many new MMO's seem to follow these days.

I want to be immersed, and WANT to explore the game, take my time, enjoy the quests  not just race to see who can get to end fastest.

And after that :o?

Personally I am doing all the side missions, story missions, main missions - dungeon missions that I am coming across. Obviously I have no idea if the different zones will be getting larger as I progress or if there will be even more of these later on - completing a zone doesn't seem to be taking all that long if you manage to solve the investigation missions with proper speed (and ofcourse not using walkthroughs).

Must admit that I am really enjoying both the lore and the story of everything in here :o

It's not that it's magically different to other players.  It is "endgame" because it contains the best gear (usually leagues better than single group dungeons) and the hardest content.  Endgame pretty much refers to the last bit of content you can do in a game before it is "finished" so to speak and you are waiting on new endgame content.

I'm not sure what is the end game. PvP didn't cut it for me in this game but I've heard the dungeons are pretty good.

I'll leave. I don't get, why does the game have to force you to keep playing? If there's no content left to do, just unsub. You'll probably walk away satisfied with the experience. Isn't that enough?

If you want a game for more then a few months, sandbox is the only way (or maybe Planetside 2, but, yeah). TSW is a themepark. You play it, have fun, dry out and done. Nothing wrong with that. I don't give a damm about endgame because i don't need or want to saty subbed for all of eternity. Much less miss out on other mmos and video games.

I also agree with this statement.  The lack of a leveling system, and the way the missions are structured, really does make the game seem different while you're playing it.

Most other games really do seem like they have an obligatory leveling process, just the preliminary requirement to "really" start playing your character in the all-important endgame.  People use the "stop and smell the roses, enjoy the journey" platitudes far too frequently, but in TSW's case, it appears justified, because I feel like I'm playing and enjoying my character right from the start.  Skill-based games, like this, often make it feel like endgame starts at the beginning.  Just my opinion, but TSW does have that different feel, and they've nailed the mood and atmosphere for a horror-genre game pretty well.

Well, if you enjoy playing a game, wouldn't it be nice if you could continue to do so ?

I have no idea of how their plans are with what kind of content they are planning on adding after release - I have personally never been a huge fan of rerunning the same dungeons over and over again for gear grind, which is also why I am interested in knowing about the "end-game" becaue having more missions, where I can solve puzzles or continue my journey would certainly be awesome, otherwise i'd probably leave eventually as well if its only raids or dungeons.. mh :/

Ah thanks ! Didden't see that post.

Sounds rather interesting, I wonder if its puzzles that you need to solve or if it's just "emblems" you need to get and enough of them before it's possible, if its the former then I'm all in atleast.

Well, if you enjoy playing a game, wouldn't it be nice if you could continue to do so ?

I have no idea of how their plans are with what kind of content they are planning on adding after release - I have personally never been a huge fan of rerunning the same dungeons over and over again for gear grind, which is also why I am interested in knowing about the "end-game" becaue having more missions, where I can solve puzzles or continue my journey would certainly be awesome, otherwise i'd probably leave eventually as well if its only raids or dungeons.. mh :/

Of course it would. I'd love to keep playing TSW for a long time, but again, you have to keep in mind that it's a game with finite amounts of things to do. You can't blame the game for haveing an "end". Devs can never make stuff for players to do and complete faster then what they're done.

If you want to enjoy the game for an extent period of time, you have to accept that there willbe a point in-game that you might have to leave to get creative with other players. Or mostly, play in a steady pace. FC will probably update the game with new missions, areas, pvp maps, locations, lore, etc, etc, but you have to be willing to be patient for it.
