I liked the review but my opinion differs a bit. - I didnt think the launch was that bad. I have only had one quest that was bugged in two days of playing and I have had very little lag. - I think you need to stress a bit more that there is almost no hand holding in this game. This refers to basic mechanics as well as the puzzles. There is no one to tell you how to setup gear sets or where the basic vendors or where the bank is or where to buy clothes. I played for over 4 hours before finding the vendor to buy my second weapon. If you dont like to think when playing an MMO, you will hate this game. - As far as the puzzles go, you have to explore the map and look for things before some puzzles or you will really have an issue solving them. I didnt notice the sign on the solomon bridge about it being the "hanging" bridge and had a tough time with the 5th tier of the vision quest. I dont like to google the answers and this one stumped me for an hour while I worked on other quests until I got lucky and went across the bridge and found it. If you can not multi-task, you will hate this game. Some puzzles are hard and you will need to work on a different quest while mulling the first one over. Overall I agree with your review and like your analogy of the McD Hamburger. This is a basic burger (puzzle MMO) with some small quantities of condiments thrown in (crafting and pvp). If you hate puzzles or dont play games to think, you will hate this game.

um, at what point was this game selling itself as a "pvp game"? This is not a pvp game. It's a game that has pvp. |

Originally posted by JoeyMMO I'm on the same server as the OP, Arcadia. Like I said, I've progresed a fair bit and I've had 3 total of 3 quests bug, all of it minor and I was able to eventually finish them all. To say that 50% of the quests are bugged is complete and utter bullshit. THAT'S why I stopped reading the rest of the OPs post.

Why are people feeling that an in-game cash shop that only sells visual FLUFF is detracting from their overall willingness to approach the game? If some people want to spend money on a special jacket or whatnot, and this finances the creation of more similar stuff, what's the downside? We're not at all talking items that affect power, just looks (and most can still be bought for in-game cash too). I feel there are a lot of "spoilt, free-to-play" people around, may just be me though, and no offense meant for any one individual (i don't know _you_) |

Originally posted by sfc1971 Good read! But if this paragraph is true I guess I've already decomposed. Sigh. If the game flops maybe you can successfully petition them to add playable Elins. At least they just look, uh, middle-aged, I guess? |

Failed attempt, but at least you tried. I am curious though. Why give a review 2-3 days into an MMO releasing? Most have barely broken the surface of this game by that time?
Also, this is definitely a smooth launch compared to other games, ESPECIALLY, considering how many things are different from most MMO's. Whenever you introduce something new to anything, the percentage for failure raises exponentially. |

Originally posted by Ginaz 3 bugged quests is 3 more than should be acceptable at release. We are in Egypt and have had 7 bug so far. One fixed itself after 2 days. We heard another is fixed too. 4 of them are investigation missions that wasted 2-3 hours of our life before we broke down and checked the forums that the missions are simply bugged. Generally the investigation missions do not reset properly after another player either fails or succeeds or both (varies) the mission which could be easily fixed by making them reset properly after a certain period of time. These should have been tested further. Game shouldn't have released with any bugged quests. Maybe 1 or 2 acceptable throughout the entire game at release, but having 7 bugged quests ~35% into the game is simply unacceptable. Here's a short list of bugged quests so far for those doing them: Something Wicked 4/5 - The ravens being stacked in each position will indicate this quest is bugged. Clicking ravens in the right order does not cause them to fly away as they should. Can't complete due to this. Men in Black 4/4 - Initiating the proper sequence will not cause the device to shutdown. A single person doing the wrong sequence will cause this to bug till instance resets. (This may have been fixed in the last patch) The Black House Tier 3 - Ashes do not spawn if another player completed this quest recently, so the quest cannot be completed. The respawn timer is over 3 hours. Taking the Purple Tier 2 - Ambushers do not spawn if someone completed the quest recently. The respawn timer is over 3 hours. League of Monster Slayers Tier 3 - The Shadowrunner sometimes won't spawn and even after waiting over an hour. Scavengers Tier 5 - The infected MOB stands outside the mission area and never becomes targetable. The Big Terrible Picture Tier 3 - If someone has completed this quest recently the crystals cannot be rotated and thus the quest cannot be completed. |

Wasted 2-3 hours? Isn't that what you do when you play a video game anyway? If it's such a bother for you, stop playing. I myself will enjoy it, bugs and all |
