you need a cabal/guild that wants to PvP, a single guild can get all the facillities if they want..., the Dragon faction don't lack people, they lack desire for PvP. It's like all PvE freaks are Dragon, my dungeon groups are always full of dragon. |

Player mentality is linked to faction aesthetic. So would it be any surprised that most serious PvPers are going to flow towards the group perceived as "bad guys"? Writer / Musician / Game Designer Now Playing: Skyrim, Wurm Online, Tropico 4 |

My issue was the Dragon look hideous. Terrible outfits based off a puke green color scheme. Ugh. I'd always planned on playing Dragon, but I just couldn't do it with those uniforms and decks. Taking orders from a kid who's too important to actually speak to you directly is just rubbing it in, too. I'd imagine it gets more popular as people who haven't been researching their choice in advance start playing.
And I'm on Arcadia as well and the Dragon could often take Fusang points while the Templars and Illuminati fought in the center. |

On Arcadia it feels as if the Templars dominate PVP during euro primetime, and are displaced by Illuminati during US primetime. I seem to remember a similar sequence during CB.
My characters received their first PVP rewards yesterday, the "white marks of Venice". My Templar received around 4500, and the Dragon character got just over 900. I don't know if the distribution of PVP marks is the same for all characters or if it is affected by faction rank.
I would be amazed if the factions that do well in PVP don't attract more players, specially PVE'ers who are only interested in the buffs and PVP mark distributions. Most MMO players love extra buffs and privileges, and leeching off the "best" PVP faction is very tempting, even if the player is not active in PVP at all. |

When I look at those fat Illuminati buffs, I just want to have them. When I play my Illuminati alt, he seems way more op with the buffs in terms of dps against moves and xp boost.
What you say about Euro and NA primetime would support what I was thinking about people identifying with their "home continent" factions. Not enough Asians, I guess. And I wonder if they would want to play Dragon, anyway.
Haha...Dragon never has a primetime. |

I think you may need to start playing the social metagame with pvp.
A good guild can do a lot, hell a good group of factionites can be gathered with faction channel for a pvp group to work together. This is step one - got to get your dragons in a line - or at least an efficiently deadly chaotic pattern :D Get them to start building complementary pvp decks, a handful run the buffs so others can slot passives for more heal or damage instead of self buffs. A handful run the heals so others can slot more active stuns, pulls, snares. You can always switch what your doing up, but you must always work together.
Then you have to convince the Templars that it is in their best interest to smash the Lumie scum! Now you really need to control your dragons and stop them eating every templar they see or your temporary alliance will shatter before it can start.
Now you start getting freaky by estimating the flow of any given battle and recognising when to drop your alliance and start pounding your allies - or even sneakier have a second dragon group ready to switch the tables while you claim innocence of their deeds. This way you always seem a loyal dragon whose truce can be trusted
If your just going to log in and spam buttons you will always be on the receiving end of a brutal stick. GET ACTIVE SOCIALLY and make, undermine, break and remake alliances as necessary - once the release dust settles this is what pvp will become in these 3 faction battles. Get to know the other factions generals (leader personalities) and develop a rappore with them and you may find you are getting stomped far less often and even doing the stomping yourself quite regularly. This will all take some time, we are at release and its all currently a mess, but the pvp system can be stunning if everyone is approaching it with similar intent :D |

It might just be that the Dragons, with their chaotic nature haven't gotten around to organizing themselves and/or are busy doing quests. From the polls I believe they got it at 33% vs 33% vs 33% +/- 5%. I think we will just have to wait and see how it pans out. |

Dragon have the UGLIEST PvP uniforms, and I mean UGLY. I mean, really, green track suits with ski masks, really????? I think the buff is more of a perk than a necessity. I wouldn't worry too much about it. The bonus to dragon not PvPing is short queue times for you =) |

The buff is a minor thing compared to the weekly white mark distribution. Time for some "hardcore pvp" guilds to prove themselves and reroll dragon rather than carebearing it up on a big side.

Arcadia Dragon here too: I feel your pain. But what can we do? I mean we can get better, but overall I think Illus have too much coolness factor for PVP players. Holy Trinity who art in our MMORPGs! Blessed be thy speccs, as in WOW so in all MMOs! Our daily loot grant us, and forgive us our noobness, as we forgive the noobs! And do not lead us to disconnects, But deliver us from mediocrity, For thine is the specialization and the teamwork and the endgame, Until cancellation, Amen! |

In closed beta world domination was based on real world timezones :)
My dragon character have the buff available for her until about 4-5 PM CET. Templars (european) start arriving home about that time and WD shifted to them until around 2AM whe it shifted to illuminati With early acces been on weekend that was not saw at full force and it seems that, in Arcadia, templars won (basd on the score i saw on fusang 4000+ templars, under 1000 each of the other two, not sure of the final numbers) Yesterday monday thing seems to have switched to the same as closed beta. Templars got most of the zones about 5+PM CET and keep them until 11PM at least. |

Well, I do play as Dragon but on Cerberus BUT... capturing bases is dull compared to fighting other players. So, that is what I do most. I want to PvP when I do PvP. I noticed this in others as well, huge dragon group repeatedly beating templars and wall street bankers into the pavement BUT bypassing bases. The world bonus is okay but in PvP you frankly barely notice it and if you are PvE, you got no right to complain. Things will change as people get orginaized but the majority right now is just following the biggest group to wherever the person in front is heading. Once we all ran into our home base because that is where the guy in front went. |
