Funcom seems to be hell bent on releasing games that require the best GFX card, IMO this is one of the reasons AOC didn't make it big, Funcom is not making very good business moves having there games require $400+ GFX cards to play, this only limits the amount of people that can play and in turn hurts revenue. I can only get 15fps and I was also reading that even players with GTX 670 are only getting 30fps, really Funcom needs to learn off there mistakes, never, ever set supper high system requirments for a sub based MMO, this alone is means death, Funcom and all MMO's for that matter sould tweek the games to run in a range of 8 years of system hardware not the last year alone. |

Try turning your settings down. Minimum requirements listed here. http://www.thesecretworld.com/buy/
Biggest things to turn down for performance are shadows and motion blur. |

Honestly, you can get GFX card from places like newegg for well under $200 that can more than handle TSW. Keeping your pc up to date is par for course if you're into PC gaming. |

It's actually a very smart business move that promises your game will still look good years down the line. It might suck a bit at release, but 3 years from now when current high end cards are cheap, the game will still have nice graphics. Age of Conan released in 2008 and what do you know, 4 years later it's still considered one of the MMOs with the best graphics. I'm sure in 2008 people complained, but in the long run, it's better. |

I'd upgrade your RAM if I were you. It's very memory intensive. Recommended is 6g but you can get 8g for $100-$150. |

I tried the game out on my old laptop with a 9800m gts card in it which is pretty crappy nowadays and it runs ok on low in dx9.. get about 30 fps average so its playable.. honestly you don't need much to play this game.. to get it a smooth 60 fps at ultra is another story though:P I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg |

It's not that bad. I have a 6870 and can crank up everything but tesselation and still get well over 30FPS on average. It runs a hell of a lot better than a lot of other MMOs I've played. |

I agree... the rest of your PC doesn't seem all that bad. You can spend less than $300 to add a decent GPU and 8GB of RAM. Prices are ridiculously low right now for PC builders. |

Well for starters your GPU barely better than an integrated solution. Get yourself something like a 550Ti or whatever the ATI equivalent is, it won't break the bank and you'll get pretty good performance. You could use more ram too. For reference I use a 2.6Ghz C2Quad with 8 gigs ram and a 1Gb 4850. My PC is getting pretty dated and I had no performace issues in CB. |
