To be honest calling it Faerie pobably would have stopped alot of the Non-RPers from joining up because its not "Badass" enough.
I would play on an RP server called Fairy, Nessie, whatever who cares??? |

What's the issue here? I would play on that server specifically because of that name. I was one of the first people to roll on the Fatman server in SWTOR because how do you not roll on a server named "Fatman?" Just like how do you not roll on a server name "Faerie?" People take their gaming too seriously.

I don't think you want the roleplay server to be attractive to those aggressive PVPer types, so changing the name from Faerie to something innocuous would probably serve the RPers better :D

They should call it something boring like "barrel" or "crate" or something so only the roleplayers go there, so they can have the kind of RP community they want without aggressive PVPers rolling in.

What's so bad about Faerie? I would think that it would be a top-notch name for an RP-server, given how most people who RP are familar with the entire fey mythos found in various settings. It's unbelievable how silly people can be about stuff like this. <3 |

The true irony is that when you look at the origin of the faeries (or fae), they were really cruel and dangerous. Their "image" has been severely altered to the extent that most people laugh at them nowadays. |

Now, what they should do is make a series of investigation missions that are changed/updated every 2 hours or so, to be able to access the RP server. Make it incredibly difficult, to make sure that the PvP kiddies stay out.
Or possibly internet background checks for trolls XD |
