Cryptic is a bad company and treats their customers horribly.
Great I get into nwo a few weeks before everyone else does a few weeks before it is free anyways. All that for them to ignore bug reports anywAys. |

HAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOVE IT. To this day, Champs lifetime is something I never regretted. Got so much out of it and now that it's improved by leaps and bounds, it's too awesome for words. At this point I'm literally getting paid just to exist in the game, since I've made my money back and then some. And now beta access to NWO. Oh life, how delicious you are. Well... the people that paid for lifetime subs for CO and STO need to get something for their money. They certainly arent getting it out of CO or STO! Nice PR move though...... Cluck Cluck, Gibber Gibber, My Old Mans A Mushroom |

Incredible fun. I'm taking a shot of vodka every time I see a reference to a game being a WoW or Diablo clone. |

Originally posted by MMOGamer71 Just so you know alot of us people who have lifetime subs for both Champions and STO were beta testers for both those games. A lot of us bought our subs while we were still in Beta test phase. I've beta tested just about every major MMO that has come out since CoH. I'm happy that Cryptic is giving us a shot and trustig us to give them some feed back. So don't know what you're talking about pal. To the guy that said that beta tester need to be chosen by computer specs... What you think we don't upgrade. Are only what is Seen, or is the more character to your being |

Who did wrong? The advertiser hired to sell the game or the consumer who put faith in advertising? |

Originally posted by Zorgo Thats exactly what I think. I have two lifetime subs to STO and CO. But because I don't live within a 10 minute drive of PAX, some guy thats played neither, nor spent his money on either will get in ahead of me? I suppose its not false advertising. Just poor customer relations. |

this one is a AAA budget game. it will be f2p but the payment model will be just like CO and that is what i am really afraid of. what i hav seen in CO is that those who frequently use cash shop(pay2win players) get more advantage than lifetime or gold users(monthly sub), comparing to trubine or soe this model frm cryptic+pwe is very bad, ultimately just like any other pwe published mmo neverwinter will be pay2win. i hav decided to stay away frm pwe, aeria and fagster games. not goin to change that stance even if these companies publish a really good game cos i knw they will turn the game into shit in no time. |

Originally posted by fahadjafar What advantage would that be? Since there's no 'proper' PvP in CO, any 'advantage' you get from the store is going to be pretty meaningless. I have never used the store for anything other than the odd costume unlock that I liked the look of and a super-shrinker that I wanted for one of my characters. They have a few bits that increase exp gain and such things but, again, who cares if someone levels slightly faster? What earthly difference does it make? If you're worried about advantage in PvP, you really need to be playing a different game. That's not because of the store though, it's because Cryptic were never really serious about PvP and the game wasn't designed around it. |

I have never played Champions, but Star Trek Online is a good decent game. Whether or not those two are worth purchasing life-time subscriptions depends upon the player's enjoyment ratio. I liked and enjoyed STO until level fifty, and they began that "lunchbox" buy the key lottery method. Since they never divulge the statistics I think it can be too easily rigged. I do not play anymore, but nonetheless it was a pretty good game. I do not mind spending a little money monthly for free-to-play games if it is a decent value. Offering beta access for life-time subscribers seems like a gracious boon for those that have already done so. It more than likely is not worth purchasing for beta access alone though unless you were already considering the life-time option. The current STO option is tempting indeed giving the monthly stipends and other rewards, but that lottery mechanism has had horrid effects on the economy. |
