Originally posted by xenogias Sadly this is true. And makes this site less appealing every week. The sadest part about it is that, because of the name, this site still has a lot of players who use it for information. What they get instead, are threads like these that bash / flame decent games with misinformation, slander, or just flat out lies. They also get threads that praise the latest FoTM game as being the best thing ever, only to waste their money on it. I mean hell, I've seen this site blow up over games like Aion, TERA; And we see pretty much nothing from either of those games anymore. They are already forgotten. Yet there's no consequences for the people who misrepresented those games with falsehood. It is nice to have a site that allows for multiple perspectives / criticism on every game, but it would be nice to have a little more moderation in this regard. |

I am sure everything you say is true and this game in no way has attracted attention with it's scope, ambition, imagination, and extremely high production values. One question though... why are people not as excited about those 'F2P' games, which have even less of a barrier to entry, if the price is so important? Are they just not as good?

It's easy and boring at best... So please, stop bragging how you "can handle" TSW... You're just emberassing yourself. "Happiness is not a destination. It is a method of life." ![]() |

TSW is bad, Tera bombed, SWTOR bombed, D3 bombed and still people are hating on GW2. Bizzare! I would actually pay a sub for GW2, it has already proven its gameplay thru BWEs, and the world is huge!! Content for months and months. The PvP is like DAOC with some additions, and many players agree that DAOC was one of the best PvP games around, its hard to take anyone seriously when they say GW2s PvP is lacking. |

GW2 is the only other mmo that I would pay a sub for at the moment, luckily enough I don't have to. |

I feel with all MMOs it's difficult to decide if the game is worth it. I've enjoyed leveling in a lot of MMOs but once you hit that cap, then what? We'll see how things end up once the game is released. |

We have F2P, B2P, P2P. Guild Wars 2 is B2P. It means boss to play. You need to be a boss to play this game. Are you a boss? Well are you punk?

Nope. Never paid a sub, never will. Subs are for people that believe to drive a car, they need to pay monthly for the keys. |

IMO no mmorpg is worth the sub fee any more. All recent mmorpgs have failed to keep people interested for more than a few months. |

Originally posted by Roybe Gotta put gas in it, insurance, tune-ups, new tires, etc. :) F2P, P2P, B2P all cost something somewhere down the line. Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not. |

Nor could I.. and I really tried. Gave it a lot more than just the time of day.
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

Not sure why these posts keep creeping up...it's not like it was a surprise GW2 isn't going to have a subscription nor is it a surprise they make a sequel that is as hyped up or as popular as their previous release. Asking if people would pay if there was a sub is fairly pointless since: there isn't one, there won't be one, and everyone knew (before it was even announced to be in development) that there wouldn't be one. Seems like just trying to stir crap up. It has hype because it's a sequel to a well built and popular game from a company that is respected. |
