Originally posted by Crunchy221 Yeah my comp can't take 100v100v100. I think they will tone it down abit, but I tend to stalk the outer ring. Originally posted by bcbully have you tried it? everything in that zone is just very bland and uninspired which is strange since all there other zones have so much atmosphere.. im fine with it though pvp wasn't anything I was interested in in this game I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. Originally posted by Aerowyn Yeah :) I pratically live there. Taking a break atm. The "boring" you speak of is due to balance. PvP zones have to be balanced in terms of time LoS and things of that nature. It's a pretty place techically and design wise., nothing like the amusement park though ;) DamonVile- Games built for disposable players are now apparently built by disposable employees. |

It's upto 70 a side I think, might be 100 though.
There is a second warzone for after launch, they might just go with that rather than increasing capacity. |

The best part about TSW is it was never meant for GW2 players. Haha, I was watching the livestream last night, and it looked like a blast. Reminded me of DAoC RvR quite a bit. Which was zerg vs. zerg.
People complain about stupid crap and are never satisfied. |

Root for the hyped game that does things the same! Down with the niche game that tried something diffrent!
so on and so forth.
I expect a large influx of new players into TSW 1-3 month after that game launches.
...oh man that comments going to cause some people to rage.

[mod edit] Don't get my wrong, it's a good game, the pvp is fun. I'm just not a PvP fan. PvE and some other things are boring though. The PvP does remind me of Dark Age of Camelot, [mod edit] "Well, there was a time when I was quick to judge others based on what little I'd heard. But... traveling with even the worst, slimiest, smelliest of tieflings and no-honor tree-worshipping elves has taught me some of them are all right." -Khelgar Ironfist |

While I find GW2 WvWvW better, I absolutely loved how you enter uniforms in pvp, and I thought it was very dynamic and fun. Zergfest? Maybe, but isn't any mass pvp game? |

Zergs will be found in all mass pvp games. What I don't like is the fact that you have to be completely geared up to have any chance. |

Originally posted by Kuppa this and the fact small groups don't really have any point from what I saw and played... at least in WvWvW you could gather resources and build seige weapons.. A well organized small group of players could actually take out entire zergs I just don't see that type of gameplay in this warzone its just zerg vs zerg and bigger zerg generally wins.. yawn. The PvP in this game isn't very good at all in my opinion. It mostly boils down to your gear and your build. You can very easily be one shotted or stunlocked and killed within 5 seconds. They have made some balancing improvements since I stopped playing the closed beta around 2 weeks ago, but since TSW is a skill based game (I mean skill based in the sense of progression and not player skill) the interaction between certain skills can get outta hand. There really is very little player skill involved. Dodging one attack wont get you the win if you don't have a oneshot or stunlock available. Fights are very short for the most part. The objectives are boring and uninspired. Capping a few spawn points and a few facilities on a small copy paste map isn't very fun after a little while (unless you are one of the people with uber gear and a crazy build).
To me it boils down to the fact that 3 faction PvP is hot right now and Funcom just threw it into TSW without building the game around balance, skill and fun. Some people will like it and some people will love it especially if you want to PvP where very little skill is involved and your power is determined by gear and how cheap your build is.
Just my opinion though.. |
