Even though I expected more from D3, I was still pleased with the game. Hell, I think I spent 100 hours playing the game. That's a lot of hours spent playing it. And I usually don't play so much (it's been a little over a month since the game released so that's tons of hours). I don't get nearly as much playtime from other games I've purchased. I still find it fun to level up characters and will see how the PvP works out. So there's the potentional for many more hours. Probably will hit at least 300 hours maybe more. That's great value for the 27 pounds I spent on the game. Starcraft 2 - amazing game. It was everything I expected and more. Much better than SC1. I spent over 1k hours playing that game in exchange for the 40 pounds I spent on it. That's 4p per hour lol. I will probably get even more hours once they introduce the arcade! World of Warcraft - I loved that game. I've spent countless hours playing WoW. My most played game of all time. Warcraft 3 - amazing game, played it for 500 hours probably. Diablo 2 - second most played game after WoW. I could spend all day PvPing without getting bored. SC 1 - great. Played for quite a bit. D1 - it was a good game. Didn't play it so much as the other games. WC2 - played this ages after it came out but it was fun. So why shouldn't buy Blizzard games when they are so fun and they are well worth my money?

Originally posted by Grixxitt you insult the guy and yet he's pretty much "right on". Look at most sports, you do the same thing over and over again. You get up to the plate and hit the ball "the same way" in baseball and run around the same bases in the same direction. Football? You kick the ball and the opposing team catches it and they try to get it to your end zone. If you get it back you do the same. All the time. Tennis? TENNIS!?!?!?! Not even going to go into golf. It's those repetitioins what happens within those repetitions that makes it interesting, that makes it appealing. So yes, it's fun to get up to bat and hit the ball and run around those bases, it's fun to run down the field and dodge the opposing players or else you get tackled, and it's fun volley the ball back and forth on the court and try to make it so the opposing player misses. It's a bit reductionist but these games have their fun in repetition and the small surprisees that occur within that canvas of repetiion. When it stops being fun getting up to bat for "the umpteenth time to the x power" then it's time to do something else. This seems to be the trick that some players just can't master.

I vote yes, but I didnt buy D3 for the same reason I will never ever buy a single player game that forces me to play online.
If I wanted to play online, I would buy an online game. No DRM...ever, no matter the company or game. |

just like other person said before. If they make a game i want to play, there is no reason why i should not buy it. Also, if they make a WoW sequel following the same lore and with next gen graphics and correcting some things like removing gear grinding progression, im re-buying it again, no questions asked. I dont play DIablo and Starcraft so as long as their new games arent moba, rts or diablo likes, im in. |

Never say never. It all depends on what theyw ill do with their games. HotS - I'll probably get, because despite some effort form Blizzard's side it's still a decent, competitive RTS with large community, but next titles? I already didn't buy Diablo3, not planning on MoP since I'm WoW-free for about 1.5 year now. Titan I know nothing about so it's really hard to have opinion. If they make a game I'll like and it won't have any annoying features I might buy it. I don't pay that much attention to brand on the box. Don't care. Games are not a political or social statement for me, they are entertainment. |

No. After they ruined the MMORPG genre with WoW and how they release games for mass market I realised they are the MacDonalds of gaming. |

There are very few studios I will buy from almost indescriminately. And Blizzard has long ceased to be one of them. If they release a good game, I will buy it. But I will not buy anything because Blizzard released it. |

Millions of people wanted to reply to this thread, but they're too busy playing WoW, D2, D3, and Starcraft Titles. This thread is a little over the top. Spec'ing properly is a gateway drug. |

Depends on the game, but if WoW and Diablo 3 are any indicator of the direction they are pursuing (as well as their target audience) then their games are beneath me. |

Originally posted by Yamota WoW didnt ruin the mmorpg genre. That comment is pretty ignorant, no offense. If anyone ruined the mmorpg genre was all the companies that got blinded by the success of WoW and became dirty players cloning WoW for fast money making instead of making the best game they can. Those were the ones who ruined the genre. |

L O L at all the people who are against blizzard. I'm sure 99% of you have played WoW, starcraft and / or D3. And why does everyone think the RMAH is pure greed by blizzard? If it was your company, would you pass on any oppertunity to gain more money? Secondly the RMAH is a good thing. In D2 all those items and gold where still bought by players for REAL MONEY, not in-game but on the CHINESE GOLD SELLERS websites. If people did it anyway, why not implement it in-game? + It's safer than giving your credit card info to the chinese. Every company that has major success has haters I guess. Lastly, I want to tell you that I'm enjoying D3. I'm in act 2 inferno with my barb now and loving it. Yes I need to farm gear to progress, yes It does take a lot of time. But thats the whole point of Diablo. All the QQ'rs here are probably late WoW players who get everything handed to them for zero effort. |

I was never into blizz's art style so there games never really appealed to me. All the gold farming character selling etc.. form wow always sounded wrong to me and I thought it was something the company was trying to combat but when d3 came out with the rmah it stank of a corruption to me. I can understand people taken advantage of a system in a way not intended but the intent is clear here. |
