Are there any books, movies or rl events that you think could ever be a good MMO? Please list what you feel would be a major success as a MMORPG if you could chose the companies to produce it. The only rule is that you have to chose between Books,Movies or a RL event. I think the world of Terry Goodlkind, from the Sword of Truth book series would be one of the best worlds to create an MMORPG in. You can have factions, pvp, sieges. I mean you could really go nuts. |

James Bond MMORPG, yes RPG after the MMO.
Cars, Locations, Girls, Villians and Gadgets.....................enough said. I'm taking a shot of vodka every time I see a reference to a game being a WoW or Diablo clone. |

meh.. I don't really like mmorpgs based off of other stories. Which is why I've never dabbled in SWTOR or LOTRO |

Movie, book or RL event does not make good MMos. It is alll about gameplay systems, implementation, art direction, and a thousand little details. |

Forgotten realms...
With all the spelleffects monsters and depth of D&D but not with the tyical D20 rules. Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) |
