Originally posted by GTwander I've been waiting for B&S too. I really like Aion's F2P model. I hope they don't screw up that approach. I wish it would have been Perfect World and not Nexon. Even thought they have some gambling in their cash shop, I still like them better. |

Not trying to be a killjoy but this news seems quite like the captain of the Titanic asking what's with all the racket and shaking.

I wonder how this will effect the next "revolutionary" mmo, GW2. These companies want to suck all the money they can from their customers never mind releasing a good product. After TOR mmo's just don't apeal to me any longer. Been screwed too many times now. |

Do gamers really care who made the game? You see 'boycott game maker XYZ for ABC reason!' all the time but those games sell millions. D3, Starcraft2, COD has no LAN! Boycott! EA is the most evil company! But I look at the top 10 sales charts and all I see are COD, D3, FIFA etc. Wonder why there seems to be more haters on the internet? Read this by an actual marketing guy to find out why. |

I have to be honest, i've never tried any game from Nexon, so... ok, not even Vidictus. But, it's strange, when we see this from a minor company buys the giant NCS. When we saw what happened with star trek with Perfect World, probably some of us were expecting something like this, the economy makes its laws, and the actual refund is so extremely big in a stupid F2P game than we can never believe. It's giant, the profit. I think this thread is allready closed, and the mod's can close it, but i think this subject has an important interest for discussion... PS... And Portugal wins Holland(Netherlands) on Sunday. Go go Portugal ^-^ ![]() |

Dragon Nest was seriously fun (though sadly it's massive hidden potential was never realised by developers) and Blade & Soul is awesome - even in it's BETA form. With Blade & Soul coming up, I was intrigued to hear about this investment. Also wondering who may get the rights to Dungeon Striker. :) |

Just an FYI guys. NCsoft only acts as a publisher and provides support for the game. Anet has control over what goes into the cash shop. |

I, for one, welcome our new Nexonian overlords. Enter a whole new realm of challenge and adventure. |

I didn't really know much about Nexon before playing Vindictus. After spending about a year and a half with Vindictus I've decided to never touch another game Nexon has their hands on. Nexon NA is the worst company I've ever dealt with. This is including phone companies like AT&T. If you have any problems with your account, expect your issue to take at the minimum 6 months to resolve (that's how long it takes them to get to your ticket) and sometimes they won't ever resolve it. They wont' do any kind of account restoration if you've been scammed/hacked. In fact, even if it's their screwup (database corruption for login) they won't fix it so you have to make a new account. There was a gigantic hack wave last year where after keeping silent for months they finally came out and said that their databases were compromised and large number of accounts had everything stripped. As compensation they gave some people $100 worth of NX points, despite the fact that most of those players have spent years on their games and probably spent 10x that amount purchasing NX. Of course, their accounts were not restored either. Their games are also the epitome of Pay2Win, as people spending thousands of dollars on the game will have significant advantages over those who don't. |
