I just wanted to post a bit of a discussion that is being talked about over on the world of tanks forums. I have been reading about this, i'll post a link if there is one with the dev comments...

Good news. Storm and SerB said some of the upcoming changss in patch 7.4! The transmission in the E-50 and E-75 will be moved to thd front so they "burn more"... lol. Seriously, they said that. So there goes the E-75, the only decent German "end game" tank. Also reading from that EU thread SerB said he lost ancestors to Germany and will never ever respect anything from them. These are devs who balance the game.

Its interesting that RU players are posting on the EU forum hoping to get a response. This developer is terrible. They dont care about their players one little bit. Until they get a competitor they know they have ppl looking for this type of game.



We need another dev to step up. A proven AAA dev who releases this game in a balanced manner and listens to the community. A game released with a proper engine to boot. If any game deserves a "kick starter" program it would be one of these.

Id love to hear WG comment on these issues but in reality they just dont care about us. I dont want some silly community rep who barely posts either. They dont know a thing and just throw out some nonsense veiled post of "damage control" like hang in guys we hear you! Which is a lie.

It is obvious from the selection of the game engine(which severely limits engagement range) that this game was designed so someone could write a revisionist history that denigrated German armor during the war. Then they throw in the ridiculous "HP" factor and RNG just to add insult to injury. At the ranges in the game, there should be a next to zero chance of missing any target with something like a 75/L70 or 88/L56 as long as the pip is on the target. Most penetrating hits should also result in either severe damage or one shot kills. It's interesting someone else mentions IL-2 and it's fantasy about Soviet air power during the war. The two top aces of the war were German, both with over 300 kills, but these achievements have always been somewhat lessened by the fact that the victories for both pilots were predominantly on the Eastern Front which was known as an easy hunting ground. It will be a cold day in hell before I fork over any money so someone can grind a personal ax. Maybe Serb's issue should be with the Soviet high command who would employ tactics like ordering troops to move through minefields rather than taking the time to clear them.

This is why I stopped giving Wargaming money last year. I've known all along that their developers are biased towards Russian and American engineering. Seriously, germans had the BEST armor in history until the 1970s. Even then, german armor from the 1940s should NOT be facing off in the same tiers as 1970s armor from Russians and Americans without some balance.

The comments from Serb also aren't unbelieveable whatsoever. Most of the community has always known they were biased against german engineering simply because of their history. Engineering is DIFFERENT from Idealogy of a small few whom control governments during a war. 

Serb also things, for some ignorant reason, that ALL Germans were evil during WW2. The fact of the matter is, only a small "group" within the German Government were in control of Germany that were actually "Evil". The "Average" German was simply fighting for their country, and latter....defending their Motherland.

Sad tail indeed all around.

Serb needs to compare Stalin to Hitler to see who is more evil.

BTW Stalin wins by a long shot. Hitler is only credited with causing the killing of some 7 million people of various religious, ethnic, etc backgrounds. Stalin is credited with killing some 25 million Russians.

The game is total crap and I uninstalled ages ago.

To put it in WoW perspective, it is like a level 40 (scout tank) Thief taking on a level 90 (heavy tank) Warrior. Wouldn't that be a lot of fun? I am suprised that Blizzard hasn't adopted that way of doing battlegrounds to improve their subscription numbers /sarcasm...

BTW has WoT come out of beta yet? The last I saw the current game was 0.7.3 which in the world of software means a beta program. WG can claim that they use a different numbering scheme, but it is just more revisionist way of thinking based on the quality of the game.

In closing, still one crappy game scenario? Kill all or capture the base? Guess it is too hard to make more scenarios if you are incompetent and don't understand the underlying game engine which would explain much about the game and it's fatal flaws.

the german bia's has been around since CB. when some of the russian tanks were popping german high end armor like hot knife in butter. 

case in point back in CB there was reports of some russian T34s popping king tigers and even maus like it was nothing..  while i dont disagree with russian  tanks being strong... one of their saving grace was their rugged building.. meaning they were built fast and there by were fastest tanks of ww2. germans were slow but packed a bloody punch... 

watching german armor get slapped around by historically weaker tanks like a swatting a fly has always rubbed me the wrong way. part of why i never touched the russian tree outside of the early days of my CB play time.. these guys have a history of hating german units, over the 1940s.... its like the war never ended for them.. im kinda suprised they have any non-bias to anything not russian.. as i would have expected a anti-german/american idealogy for them.. given ww2 and cold war hatred O-o

Simply not true. The Maus has one of the best armors in game. Also, the VK 4502 (P) Ausf. B and PzKpfw VI Tiger (P) are quite nice. All tiers regarding the different nations have some weaker tanks.

There is some concern of bias, no doubt, however show me a single game developer that does not have some kind of bias in the games they make. I mean some like Elves more than Dwarves and the Elves get more cool stuff. This is just human nature.

I can tell you that as a straight German tech player I have not had a tank that I thought was hurt in any way. The tanks perform about the way I would expect them too. I have taken on Russian tanks a lot that were at my tier or higher and been able to win matches vs them.

I do agree the bias should be a concern but I think the player will stop playing a play balance issue hits that really is obvious.

Additional Note: As a fan of the German tank line I did some research. The original design specs for the E-50 Panther called for the transmission to be in the rear however all the design material available shows it ws in the front due to space limitations. This means that moving the transmissions to the front is actually a historically accurate change.

I stoped playing too due to buff new tanks/nerf old ones and so on. u grind so much weeks to find out they nerfed it... how unfair. not nerfed it to balance like they said, nerfed it so u go grind new tanks they just released.

just an advice to new players, up to tier 6 its fine without premium to earn money and repair, grind for new tanks/parts, but higher tiers with no premium ? prepare ur self  to lose ingame money with the repair cost, to force u to get a premium or a premium tank to farm money, they said nothing in the shop is necesary to play, and it dont give advantage to other players, they forgot to talk about premium ammo, and how quick u grind with premium, its a p2p the full game or go play lower tiers and keep ur top tier in garage after months of grind.

looking forward to test world of planes and if they gonna follow wow using same strategies or not?

not going to spend a $$ of course until i am sure they deserve the money, i bet everyone is going to go russian or american this time, learned the first time that a jagdtiger with 250 front armor is made of russian paper.

Okay first while your point is not without merit it is presented wrong. At the higher tier repair and ammo costs can be prohibative and a premium tank can let you grind cash faster. However you can also gring cash with the lower tier. While the return may not be as quick it can be done.

As for premium ammo, sure there are jerks that use it in pugs and even company battles but these are a lot more rare than you would think. Premium ammo is expensive to run and thus it is mostly used in Clan Wars or toruney play were it is known it will be run. 

Also while Premium ammo can help the level it helps differs from tank to tank and gun to gun, in some cases just not being worth it. Additionally while premium ammo might give a leg up, it does not replace skill. A skilled pilot in a stock can own a noob that is playing a premium. Even skilled pilots in premium can be beaten with some effort. 

Took a break from 7.2 till last weekend. Played 3 days straignt on 7.5 - about 100 matches or so.

Things have not improved. German tanks, aside from a very few like the Marder II and PZ IV, are near or at the bottom of the win/lose% rankings on both the NA and EU servers.

Surprise surprise - Soviets and the OP (since they were released) French dominate. No coincidence USSR had close ties to socialist France and these 2 have the best gear in game.

Final straw will be 8.0 where, to "balance" the tier 5 tanks, the PZ IV will be nerfed into the ground. The great turret and L70 gun - both gone. Replaced with a worse turret and a weaker gun. In the name of "balance and historical accuracy." What a crock. Historical accuracy - from a game that lets players drive French tanks that only existed on napkins...

I am German and this thread allowed me to troll a Russian friend.
