Did they fix the engine so you can actual play an PvP and is it smooth now when there are many players in one place? |

A game where pvp is controlled and then you charge people to play lol. I think gamers want an open world where they can freely roam and pvp whenever they want. And there should be a couple of ways of paying to play. Honestly, I haven't logged into SWTOR, but I felt the game would disappoint me and I lost interest before the official release.

It's just a free trial like WoW and many other games have. Using f2p is misleading. |

Originally posted by Grelminar To be honest myself, I have not been following at all swtor before maybe few weeks before release. Had suspicion will not live to hype. Could not be more wrong. I'm happy I changed my mind at last moment. At that time have been playing for few months Rift and needed some detour. In wow have leveled all that is to be leveled up. So decided to try swtor. But as said, i do not care for pvp and not for end game, so can not know from personal experience if there are any problems. For the rest only the best. |

Games hag at 50, BUT I wouldn't mind playing Huttball for free every now and then. So I like the idea.

Sorry BW, I will be canceling very soon. Just want to finish my JC story and I am gone. Played 2 Beta weekend events with GW2 and I just cant see me paying a monthly fee again. And I refuse to pay for a MMO with unbalanced classes and factions. How did you mess up mirriored classes? Not worth the 15 bucks a month and with GW2 coming out companies will need to start jumping on different model then 15 bucks a month to keep people playing or ANet is gona take away more and more players. |

This game actually lasted as a sub-based game a LOT longer than I thought it would, so that's something of a success, I suppose. However, along with all of the other fail-filled realizations that came with playing this game, we now have to deal with a company so petty that it won't simply transition to a full fledged F2P model? Free play to 15 is not F2P, it's called a teaser, a free trial, or in more secretive circles, a final desperate ploy to turn a few of the curious into full-fledged subscribers. Really, EA, is there ever a time that you DON'T step in your own fecal matter when making a decision about a game? I think it's time for a management overhaul over there... |

I wonder what the people who bought the super-special pre-order collectors edition for what was it? $150? $160? are thinking right now... Give me liberty or give me lasers |

I'll tell you what I'm thinking Malcanis...I took a chance at buying one as I've never bought a CE of a game before. I feel ripped off now. I really hope that an updated SWG is launched. |

Is it that you just feel cheated because part of the price of your CE is now pretty much wasted as you could now (or rather will soon) go F2Plvl15? (I'll be honest I'm not even sure whether after hitting lvl 15 you will have to buy the box to get an "unlock code" for your account or if simply signing up for a sub will take care of that...?) Or is it more like you not liking any (or at least most) of the stuff that came with the CE, and now with the F2Plvl15 the "value" of your CE has decreased even further?

Originally posted by Nanfoodle You might be too young to remember (hey, it was 7 years ago!) but the same lines were spoken when ANet released GW1. Now, take a look at where MMORPGs have been the last 7 years: lots of P2P that eventually went F2P, a small but strong chunk of games that started P2P and remained P2P (to this day), and as far as B2P in MMORPG... - queue sound ouf cricket chirping - nope, nada, njet, nichts, nothing... So, sorry to break it to ya but B2P will once more vanish into obscurity for MMORPGs once GW2 has run its course, which will be 6 months after release (max.).

I dissagree, F2P games always end up costing more per month than the monthly subscription. So when games move into that mode i always move out. Also if a game goes from P2P to F2P then its a total failure and isnt worth wasting time on. There are many games out there that are F2P some i have tried but none have i lasted in.
Now i have only just bought Starwars-The Old Republic and also 2x 60day gamecards. If this game is thinking of moving into teh F2P mode then i for 1 would like my money back for the game purchase and teh 2 gametime cards i have also purchased. The game doesnt seem to be that bad at the moment, the only problem i see is that there are way way way too many servers and most of them are empty which gives a problem of unable to do half of teh content. |
