Man, I have only been in 2 bwe.. guess I wasnt invited to the super secret 3rd one.

That being said, I had a completely different expriance. Granted, I came into the game liking what I have read and saw, but also with realistic expectations. I enjoyed the DE's and dont think I will enjoy the traditional quest hub as much ever again. Though I guess I enjoyed them more because I wasnt expecting the impossible. I can see how some people would read way too much into "DE will change the area around them".  I saw that happen, but then I saw it "reset" with another DE. Exsample, Bandits destroyed one water pipe, had to fight them off before they destroyed more. We did that, then we had to protect the workers as they fixed the broken pipe. We did that and it was like it was before. I am not sure what people want.. when all said and done, this is a MMORPG, there are other people that want to exprience things also. THey cant have world changing events just for the few people in the area at a time.  

Maybe it is the "hype" where people expect more then a computer game can give, or perhaps they see something that is getting popular and need to be first on the hate train. Either way, if you dont enjoy it, I hope one day you find that alternative game or what not that you can. Untill then I think I will go on various tera forums and let them all know how boring their game is to me, mulitable time, in many different threads.... nah.

You lost me as soon as you started comparing GW2 to WoW. Although I guess they both run on a PC so they must be the same.

I would not even remotely think about the MMORPG.com community as any kind of community that represents how some game's community is. MMORPG.com is the most negative,jaded, pessimistic, and biased MMO community out there. This forum is essentially here for people to argue about which game they feel is the better then some other game. Not to mention how small of a community there really is here compared to how many people actually play MMOs.

no it is terrible on this game far worse then most others here. Some people seriously need to learn how to respect others opinions and not have to insult and harrass them for posting something negative about a game . I see the most outlandish game fan posts in games I hate here all the time yet I do not go and post some attack against the OP or people that do enjoy it. I chuckle and move on. Here as soon as anything negative is posted about GW2 the attacks start within seconds. Most sites ban you for this but this site allows it for some god awful reason. I seriously cannot understand why people need to attack everyone here. Would you attack your buddies in a bar if they didnt agree with your opinion?

Well, it's not for everyone. We're all different, we all like different things. Personally I really like what I've seen in GW2 and I think it'll keep me happy (sort of) for ages.

From that moment it had a lot of work to do to keep me to stay but it continued to play like everything else. Sure it's the best on of it's kind for a long time, much better than SWTOR but like I said I'm bored of the themepark MMO.

The only MMO that we've seen that excites me now is Planetside 2 because it is very different from everything else apart from Planetside which I last played in 2004 before BFRs ruined it, so It feels really fresh. 

And your point is - you don't like the game - move on.

GW2 is not linear. I don't know were you get that from. It is not going from quest to quest (except for your personal story). Everything else is non-linear. You find things based on exploration - if you didn't explore you missed what the game was all about.

Please get over DAOC and WAR - they are also rans. TOR is a single player game with some MMO - you do not have to group on anything really, if you don't want to (this is another also-ran comparison).

OH, you want it fixed the way YOU want it to be. Well, A.Net is writing the game their way not yours. As I said - move on and

1. Comparing it to WoW is just silly.  If you want to compare it to regular Themepark style, that's fine.

2. It's not F2P, it's Buy2Play.

3. It is NOT linear unless you want it to be.  This is completely false on your part.

4. Which race has you kill ten rats?  This is clearly false.

5. Of course you are.  No MMO Themepark will ever please you.

I post negatives about games just like the next man or woman does and there are tons of people that have not crossed the line. But some on here are personally attacking the guy and his older posts because he doesnt like what they do. That is being immature about it. People can agree and disagree fine here but for some reason this game has way to many people that would rather personally attack people who make negative threads about issues they do not like. Ive played the game for three beta events also and can agree there is nothing revolutionary about GW2 its been done before in other games. Does that make it less fun? absolutely not to myself. I still enjoy playing it but people act like the guy is so wrong when hes not that far off.

Yeah I noticed this to.

I think the GW2 fans are so used to only reading positive things after months of press hype they can't stand reading anyone being critical about the game. It's not the press now playing, customers are playing it to. And they don't have to suck up to publishers to get invited in the next whatever.

Prepare for more critical and negative opinions when the game releases because then not just the biggest fans who pre-purchased it will be playing.

That 2nd highlight is an overreaction on your part.  Forum communities do not represent actual in game communities as a whole.

Not everyone is a blind GW2 fanboi.  I've criticized many aspects (trait changes, combat, leveling, etc.) of this game just like i have with other games.  GW2 doesn't get a free pass just because i like it.  

It didn't do anything for me the first time, second time i didn't have time, third time i am sold. Game has issues no doubt but this and TSW are the only two MMOS i am going to play for atleast 6 months to 1 year.
