After playing GW2 all weekend, i resumed my backup plan, Rift. But there i was running the same zone event over and over standing in place, mashing 111 2 111 2 on a boss for 5 mins. Yawn. Then I logged out. Thanks Arenanet. :(

hear ya, haven't played Tera since before last beta event

I've been playing D3 to tie me over until GW2.  I've lost all interest in D3 now.  Oh well, will be enjoying the summer and getting in some golf games.

Yep same here.

I had so much fun this weekend ( even my oldest was sold on the game when he watched me and 2 others kill a shadow beastie that took about thirty minutes to kill.

Of course this doesn't mean I wont ever play other games.

Just take off a week or so from gaming. The memory of playing GW2 will fade and you'll be able to enjoy whatever else you were playing before.

Sorry to hear about that. Hope you can get to enjoy other mmos eventually. I'd be pretty sad if i couldn't. :( Fortunatly, i still can :D

Im off MMO's for right now because they're all really, really bad (except this one).

Playing D3 to keep me going..... but the shiney has worn off and now I just want to play Guild Wars :(

I'm totally in the same boat.

OP I love RIFT, infact my wife and I were thinking of resubbing for the game and joining another raiding group but after this last BWE my wife learned that it would probably just leave her frustrated with the game like it did me.  Can't Dodge, Grinding Linear quest lines, ect ect ect....

Infact after BWE 1 I started playing D3 as some others did but after this last BWE I can't even enjoy that now.

THere is just so much that GW2 is giving that when you jump into other games they slap you in the face almost insulting you with the obvious fact they are lacking in so many ways compared.

My thinking is other games just feel like a waste of time now and I'd rather not Suffer thru horrible mechanics and play nothing then sit there and be forced to deal with it because either the story line is good or the "true action combat" is good... 

I can't even fathom going back to a MMO with static mash rotation hotkey combat where you stand still and swap hit points.

I can't even fathom going back to grinding Kill 10 Rats quests at one hub only to move on to the next quest hub.

I can't even fathom going back to instanced PvP queues to buy new gear to do more instanced PvP queues with no tournaments or ladders/anything.

I can't even fathom going back to open world PvP without any meaning or sense of realm/server pride.

I REALLY can't even fathom going back to LFG queues and spamming chat for tanks/healers with mindless threat mechanics and whack-a-mole healing.

GW2 has ruined MMOs for me.

Only game I am even considering going back to to tide me over is EvE, but I know every time I go back to EvE (has been 2-3 times now) I have a great time for a month than get so bored and unsub again.

And it's begun. This is exactly how they plan on changing the industry at Arenanet, by changing the players. Except that most players won't just post here, they'll be posting on the main forums of the developers of games they play that have become stagnant. The demands are coming, and Trion is already trying to adapt with their expansion coming up, we'll see what the other devs of other games will do next when they receive the same complaints. :) sneaky huh.

I'm in the same boat. Guess it's back to Halo 3 and other FPS games to tide me over with a mix of GW2 videos and playing with new builds for my GW2 chars while I wait for the next BWE.... : )

NBA 2k12 and LoL are the only cures for my GW2 disease 

I plan to play both, GW2 for WvWvW and Rift for raiding and other PvE related progression.

I'll also throw in some WoW for PvP progression.

On the other hand, this is the only MMO on my computer right now. To hold me off from the urge to scream for GW2 to be playable, I've been playing games like CS:S, GMod, Gotham City Imposters, Half Life 2 Mods, and a bunch of other stuff. Games like that just seem to be able to cool me down and make me be able to wait for the next beta. Which should probably have Sylvari and Asura(I THINK).

Ya was playing rift to tie me over til TSW comes out. but after this weekend cant wait for the next one at least the next beta weekend for tsw is this weekend.

I returned to Guild Wars 1 after the BWE. I plan to stay there until GW2 is released.

I'm always trying to dodge though, it gets annoying after a while, lol

I could never really get on very well with GW1. I logged on this morning and played around a bit with a very low level assassin. God it's slow going. It's a 'wear them down before they wear you down' type of thing and it's boring the hell out of me. I'm really glad GW2 is going down a more traditional MMO route with more freedom of movement and faster gameplay.

In your opinion, are Rift dungeons and raids different from WoW?  I was thinking of trying the free trial.

I've really been wanting to try Rift for some reason.  Who knows, i might like it. lol.

Well GW2 ruined all gaming for me until I played TSW and TSW killed GW2 PvE for me. Not that I want to play either game in their current states but TSW is far better PvE than GW2.
