Hey Devs, just so you know. The more you give us to play with, the more we play. |

Anything thats free to play, and thats doesnt guarantee they wont hen-peck it to death. Alot of the most ardent and negative vocal bashers on this site and leechs, they want someone else to support the title while they call F2P.
And when you read anything about this game just come at it like a gold mine in real life is run. It takes sifting thru 30 tons of dirt/garbage to get an ounce of gold. And now it holds so true for this site, unfortunately. Didnt used to be the case though.
So just sift thru the crap and you can still find some decent comments from fans of the game, (whichever one it may be that youre interesed in). Dont expect great threads, those get filled way to quickly with **** posts.
Been coming here more or less daily for 10 years, and in the last 2 it takes a lot of effort to find any good discussions. honestly I mostly just come for the articles now. |

I like many games - if i get a list of games since 1985 i may have more than 100 games on that list i like very much and some of them be MMOGs. Most liked MMOGs: MMOGs i played that be worth a try: Hoping for: "Torquemada... do not implore him for compassion.Torquemada... do not beg him for forgiveness.Torquemada... do not ask him for mercy.Let's face it,you can't Torquemada anything!" There are a lot of users here so every game has both fans and detractors, after a while you start to find people who talk sense and those who don't (this will vary from person to person)
If someone who you usually agree with says a game is bad then notice it and do your own research and make your own mind up.
If someone you don't normally agree with says a game is bad then ignore it but do your own research and make your own mind up anyway.

Wow that was a lot of awesome posts, I appreciate it, I just purchased Star Wars because I love story...and love Bioware so we will see how far that gets me. I can see the points made by everyone here...just a lot of people here and everyone has the right to their opinion. :) Rift looked intriguing too |

MMO sandbox games are as exciting as watching paint dry. |

Three games I think everyone should try at least once: 1. Eve Online 2. City of Heroes 3. Wizard 101
All are unique, fun, and thoroughly enjoyable, but YMMV due to personal tastes. <3 |

Originally posted by Nefarion84 The answer to your question abotu what games do people like on this site is easy, and clearly...none. Our humble little community hates hard and fanboys hard with very few moments of clarity or level headed conversation whatsoever. I'll note that I said none even tho there are clearly fanboys...I say this because those fanboys are equal parts hate and vitriol and absolutely on par with the standard haters these days. Truly I think people like games here..just to evoke rage and anger out of those who dont. ^^
Cheers. |

I was going to respond and then realised that the answer is too obvious. But the logical fallacy of your post is worth mentioning. All games get flamed =/= MMORPG.com members don't like any game. It only takes one member for all games to be flamed. As for recommendations. What MMO did you like in the past? Might be easier for ppl here to suggest a new game then. |

Eve Online - Best MMORPG on the market today by a long shot. Lineage 2 - Was a very good game, it's gotten butchered over the years though. City of Heroes - Love the super hero theme. You can spend hours just playing with the character creator. Anything released in the past 5 years is aesthetically pleasing crap. It's hard not to ridicule these games.
