It was the best PvP I had in a long time. We were pitted againts the eu reddit server and some french server. Reddit owned EVERYTHING and I mean everything. We(blue) owned nothing and the greenies were struggling with their only thing - a garrison. After a few minutes we gathered up a small team of about 6-8 people and took the nearest supply camp. After that we actually started planning how should we take the nearest tower, and after some time we brought their gates down with a ram and kept some stragglers at bay with arrow carts. It was so fun, everyone was chatting, warning each other of attacks, requesting and delivering supplies. Everything was going fine and swell and we had a few towers and supply camps, but the green garrison fell and dem redditors came at us like a plague. We were outnumbered 1 to 3 and amazingly we kept them at bay for some time with our arrow carts, trebuchets and etc. I was amazed how people cooperated fluidly, eventhough we were just random people playing on the same server. Too bad at the end there reddit overwhelmed us with numbers and we barely took anything for quite some time. Perhaps the next server match will be balanced better and we will be able to have a true balanced and fair fight. |

Originally posted by Nethriil You seem to think that being casual means it cant be a e-sport. Breaking news for you my friend, every single e-sport out there is casual, and no WoW is not a e-sport, all e-sports provide a statistical equal footing and the only thing that dictates the outcome of a battle is the players ability. From counter strike to LoL and starcraft. |

Originally posted by austriacus Pretty much this. Games like WoW can never be an e-sport because of gear advantage. GW2, FPS, and RTS games put everyone on an equal footing. It comes down to skill, traits, and builds to be competitive. Oh, and lag. Always that damn lag that kills us! |
