True enough. "I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." Got bored pretty quickly. I get it, people hate EA, on this site it's not really news. |

Originally posted by eayes Really it goes well beyond EA. Pretty much every developer follows suit with this. More money coming in, less creativity going out. But it keeps going on and on since most of the consumer base is like what was shown. |

Well i'm not jumping on the stomp EA train of thought, but after their very luke warm SWTOR presentation was it me or did the audience not even give a ripple of applause cause i heard nothing it seemed pretty damming.

Funny vid! I recently started playing Battlefield 3 again only to discover that you could buy weapons packs with real money! $7 per class.... I thought I already bought the game!!! As much as I try to separate myself from all of the bitter gamer sensationalism that is prevalent in the culture now days I sadly have to agree about EA. There is nothing wrong with a game dev or publisher trying to make money. That's what a business is for and that is what they are, businesses, but damn don't overly focus on it and bleed your customers. Hopefully this will end up with more indie devs or smaller publishers/devs studios getting more market share from promoting creativity and innovation in the gaming generes. That would force the big companies to rethink and reorganize to stay competitive. I don't think we'll ever be rid of the big Publishers over dominance though. Tons of people go see horrible movies. What Pirates of the Carribbean are we on now? |
