Guilds are difficult to find these days. An abundance of organizations and communities have risen up from the cracks, all looking toward Guild Wars 2 to be their future home. R A G E Coalition may be just another "Guild" to some, but to us it's so much more. But what about it makes it so special? Well, we at R A G E believe in establishing a guild based off the "Old Ways".

Recently, I've taken time to write an article called "What's Wrong with Guilds Today?", which expresses my concern about the way Guilds have been managed post World of Warcraft. Often times many Guilds forget that games should be fun, as well as truly captivating at the same time. We here at R A G E believe it's still possible to be Hardcore, but not at the sacrifice of your fun.

In short, this guild IS NOT a job.

Some brief information about R A G E...

• RAGE will be a PVP driven guild in Guild Wars 2. But we will support PvE activities.
• We are based on EST time. But we have players from countries like Canada and Australia.
• Our Sever for BWE #2 was The Wilds, it will remain so for Beta. Final Server is TBA.
• Our Team Speak 3 has just launched, supporting 50 members until further notice.

What do we expect from Members in RAGE?

We really want someone who wishes to dedicate themselves to the continued growth of the Guild. Someone who serious minded, mature, wants to have fun, and make new friends within our ranks. Someone who also knows that real life comes first because in R A G E, we understand everyone has a Real Life and a job outside of the game. We don't care if you're a newbie to MMORPGs or a Veteran either, all are welcome as long as you are serious but know how to laugh. Elitist really have no room in RAGE as we are looking for people not pixels.
 

What does R A G E Coalition offer me?

R A G E is a Community Guild, of which there are few. Not to be mistaken with a Game-Community, which is a Guild that supports many games. R A G E is about working together and sharing the load of leadership. We are very patient people that enjoy chatting and having a good time, and because of this we find that we do tend to be very careful about the people who wish to join our ranks.

We try very much to avoid the classic Raid Guild mentality, we believe everyone deserves equal rewards and strive to ensure everyone is having a good time while playing the game. To achieve these goals, we are going to establish an In-Game Guild Bank which does pay-out to all members in the form of currency they can spend and utilize on their own accord. Furthermore, we will also be adding elements of in-game Roleplay to our structure to establish goals and entertaining meta-game elements that'll be exclusive to R A G E.

At the same time we will be determined to impress the Guild Wars 2 world by our good attitude and friendly atmosphere. We are not strict, we tell it like it is and are flexible when it comes to disruptive players. There are no private conversations in R A G E, we strive to ensure that the vast majority of our guild has a say in what goes down -- including handling those who are disruptive to the group.

We do take our gaming very seriously, but not at the expense of your fun. Most of all we can offer you friendship and conversation.

What are we seeking exactly?

• Good attitude and a lot of enthusiasm.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Can communicate well with mic. We use Teamspeak 3.
• Has skills which can be utilized for construction of the new R A G E.
• Wants to spend time Mentoring new players. When the game goes live we will be taking in newer players and teaching them the ropes.
• Patience is a must for teaching or learning.
• Someone who is intelligent and has a lot of ideas. Guy or girl, doesn't matter. If you have passion to build to strong community that is built upon the ideas of helping each other and one another, that is perfect.
• Being age 18+.
• Someone who is not shy about sharing their ideas and thoughts.
• Someone who wants to seek friends online and try to make relationships with people. Not treat people like names and use the anonymity of the internet to brush people aside without emotion.
• Isn't obsessed with being the very best at everything.
• Thick skinned, sometimes things can be said during the heat of a battle.
• The willingness to cope with different personalities, no two people are alike.
• Likes to laugh, tease, and have a great time. Serious minded when needed.

So far we've had a lot of positive activity in the last major Town Hall meeting, including some potential plans for drawing up a new alliance. We're really looking to take on the big-boy servers, so we're purposely avoiding places like Crystal Desert. So if you're the type who is looking to really challenge themselves, join up with us.
