The last 2 tests, were realy nice . And i started to realy like the game. like the first time i started to play a mmorpg like World of Warcraft or Guild Wars 1. It was fun to play and when i was playing another game, i would be thinking about that. The same thing happened after i played guild wars 2. And now i can't even stand playing borderlands anymore, a game that i realy liked, or a nice shooter. Does anyone els have the same problem? I gues it is nice, since the last year games started to get realy boring for me. |

IMO, you have to be very nuts about a game to not enjoy any other. To the point of being irrational. I'd be playing DIII atm but it's on maintenance. |

I'm also looking forward to playing again, but it seems I'm back to LoL for the time being until the next beta weekend. Diablo 3 has taken its toll on me already (too much grinding to progress in Inferno). WTB D3 expansion already. |

I have that feeling but only for the games of the same genre as Gw2: mmo and some rpg-s. |

I like guild wars 2 but whenever somebody says something like this it makes me raise my eyebrow. I can understand not being able to play another MMO (same thing happen to me) due to how shitty and grindy they are relative to gw2. I can also see the same thing due to the quest structure and combat. But I cannot understand how guild wars 2 will have an effect on a game that is pretty much in a different genre (in this game MMORPG and RPG are different). It doesn't make sense to me. |

I feel very sorry and sad for anyone that feels that they cannot play a game because the one they're currently playing or intersted in is better in their eyes. If that happened to me, i'd play only a handfull of video games. GW2 won't stop from enjoyign other mmos. I don't even know if i'll buy it yet, simply because i like multyple genres. However, even if i do, it won't stop me from playing or trying other mmos that i might be intersted in, being new releases or older games. That's what different games and genres are about. Giving different experiences. Not having fun with other games because of 1 is indeed a very sad thing IMHO. |

I am very eager for GW2, but I still play other games and I still have fun. After all, they offer different things for us. I played the Double XP Weekend on Vanguard and had a great time. Being so irrationally eager will cause burn out fast. You will play GW2 to the point of exhaustion, and it can make you lose interest faster than normal. It is a common phenomena, and one I've seen in many MMO launches. So, calm down, enjoy your other games, and play GW2 when it's done. But savor it, don't wolf it down. |

I'm with ya OP. In the last month I have tried (again) Fallen Earth, Vanguard, Aion, Tera, and resubbed to WoW. They are all great games but I can not stay focused with them. TSW will be out in about a month and I will buy that and hopefully it will get me through to GW2 release...I was hoping Tera would do that but I couldn't handle the grindfest. I'm happy for all of you that are playing something now, but I'm just not content with 8 year old games, WoW clones, or grindy questing games. I will patiently wait for my new addiction! Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not. |

Despite being ADD as hell, I'm mostly immunized to this issue. I have no idea why; but..... I can and have been playing other games just fine, particularly shooters. I want to break my monitor several times a day b/c their mechanics are so demographically backwards and frustrating... but I'm still playing them.
When I read posts like the OP's, I can't help but think: These will be the same exact people who are complaining 6 months from now that Gw2 is boring and they need something else to play. I've already been diagnosed for my problems so I'm wondering just how messed up they have to be, to be worse off than me when it comes to this stuff. ....getting THAT bored of anything as fun as this game is (or as fun as GW1 was) as quickly as some people has tells me there's soemthing really really wrong with the current generation of Gamers. Either something in our Culture or our Food/Water, or some genetic defect is mutating so many people into spoiled hipster robots
