For as much grief as it gets on other forums it actually is overall. Plus, it's kind of nice they're not mod happy so you have some leeway...most of the time. Overall I enjoy it and some of the posters here. Found out some good info at times as well from posters and the site itself. Ironically most of those forums that talk shit about this one or I should say has some posters that do tend to be hell of a lot worse in every way than this one by miles. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose. |

I agree. These forums compared to Youtube comments for example, feel like reading Kant, Shakespeare and Leibniz all at once.

This is why I get kind of annoyed when people claim they are leaving the site because its too wild, or hateful, or crazy. Because the forums are too hateful or too full of fanboys, or too whatever.
And as usual I always say " But this is one of the better gaming forums on the net! Its really not bad at all. Its good! "
But good thread OP because its true. Mmorpg.com is rather tame, and if people would compare to other gaming forums and communities they'd probably notice that. Its not always perfect by any means. But its a fine place for gaming forums. Probably one of the best you'll find. |

IDK about this one.....I find this site to be one of the wildest with how crazy things can get. Not only do you have people bitching about the things they dont like in one game, but they also comment about every other game....whether they play it or not. I think theres way more fanboys/haters combined here than there would be on a official game forum. You kind of have to go out of your way to go comment on a game you dont like, or dont play....here its just too easy. Nevermind all the name calling in just about every single thread. I rarely see a thread where it doesnt go off topic and something nasty is said to put down another. I find official forums to be better in when something is asked, someone will answer it...not have someone rush in to call you an asshat, or say how much the game sux. Not to say this is terrible, it can be helpful at times because you know the second a game comes out...your gonna find a shit ton of brutal responses and you can draw somewhat of an opinion about the game and hear beforehand about its problems and know what to look for. But, the forum aspect....with all types of fanboys/haters combined makes it very wild at times when theres no need to be.
