I just like to point out that most games "that have these features" of this patch did not have them form the start either... In fact "dungeon finder" is a fairly new concept and most companies are not cynical enough to include a character transfer service from the start (though i am sure it will become more and more common)
Just saying... objectivity and all that ... This have been a good conversation |

Originally posted by Kalfer I fully agree... First thing that hit me when watching this vid was how worn and tired he was.. It's a pity.. Especially since I actually play SW:TOR.. But I think you're right, I think they have little say right now and that someone else is calling the shots.. I bet the layoffs don't help either. The people going are, after all, co-workers and perhaps even friends. Can't feel good... I really think all of this should've been in at launch though, and had it been, they might've actually made it. As it is now, though I like playing the game as a co-op RPG more than anything else, I think TOR is bleeding out fast. Too bad all they can apply is some linen cloth instead of a trauma kit..... |

Originally posted by tawess It's true, though unfortunately people come to expect "quality of life" feautures.. Most people would expect a hotel to have a TV nowadays - or to have one at home - yet we haven't always had TV available like this. Nor computers for that matter. Getting used to a different standard of life and being unable to give it up or see past it is unfortunately a common sideffect to the progression our consumerist society has made... |

Awesome game and on the end of the year probably the game with most content. For me was the best fun ever for 4 months. I will resub on the end of the year, anyway who play games in the summer, winter and snow are for playing games |

Originally posted by Grand_Nagus I''m in since day 1, from 1hour to 18 per day. Never bored, enjoying every minute being in game. But is true never liked space gameplay, tried 2 times and lost all interest. Maybe because at all I do not like this kind of play, I prefer having single avatar for fighting. I do not pvp I'm not yet at end game and i very rarely group as there is not need and because of my time schedule. For the rest all the best about swtor. But is true, pop is droping, mainly complains are about "solo" rpg, ... etc. For the rest I would really like to see haters list what disturbs most and which game have this solved better. |

I love the sever sceen at 1:00. Is that from January? Certainly not from SWTORS current servers. Nice little shady move there. |

I got to 50 at launch and though the game was buggy with a poor endgame so left after the free month. Then when 1.2 was launched I tried it out again but its a case of to little to late for the majority of people myself included. At this point 1.3 is not going to help the situation and bring people back they know this hence the layoffs. They simply had to much to fix and to many basic systems to add after the game launched to make a good go of it, playing catch-up is never easy. |

What I found priceless is that he did say there would be char transfers avialable but nothing about them being free, which I do believe they owe us at least one. LOL any one that pays for a toon transfer after all the epic fail deserves what they get. |

Out of all the "lead developers" This guy has to be the most un cooling looking. Is it just me? Some guys you could see yourself having a beer or even a smoke with. I think James would tell you "don't do that." I know that I'm probably wrong, and being being unfair, but I've felt like this since the first time I saw him. |

If there was a competition for the most vision-less MMORPG, SWTOR would win. |

Originally posted by Shadin Did Rift launch with either of these things? Rift is the most recent AAA MMORPG launch and it didnt have either at launch. TERA didnt add dungeon finder to well over a year past its launch (keep in mind TERA is actually 2 months older than Rift, it launched in it main market Jan 2011). In fact, the next game that launches with dungeon finder already in place will be the first. |

Originally posted by teakbois No but Rift added the LFG tool and server transfers in a timely and professional manner when community feedback told them they needed to. Sadly where Rift falls apart is in its bland world design with little to zero replayability. SWTOR devs on the other hand seem to do things with the same lack of urgency and incompetence of most government agencies. (When you think about how this game project must be a three way tug of war between EA, Bioware, and LA, the goverment anaology fits quite well). I predict this update isn't going to be the magic community saving bullet they or the plyaer base thinks it will be. And here's why. What is broken about the game is Bioware's retarded game design. Four person group limits combined with the solocentric companion system hurts the community bad enough on their own. When combined with the stupid level of xp you get per planet and nearly worthless (three tokens or some crap gear) group quest rewards, its little wonder players have trouble finding anyone to group with as most people just skip the unneeded content. A LFG isn't going to fix that. And by dragging their feet so long with the server mergers/transfers they've shot themselves in the ass once again. Its so easy to level in this game that by the time they get around to transferes most players will have become entrenched on their re-roll server and will have little reason to go back to their abandoned characters. To make matters worse they've made transferes and mergers an even bigger headache for themselves by releasing the (in my not so humble opinion, f*cking worthless) Legacy system before trying to address server population issues. I have to admit I'm baffled and dismayed at the way this game has been handled. I never ever thought I would start to think of a game company I loved for so long as "Backasswards-ware".
