Originally posted by gladosrev2 What he said. Just change zones, or if you are interested in PvP just go into WvWvW. You can level and gain gear from PvP. OP, I'd really recommend just pre-purchasing Guild Wars 2. If you buy the game now, you gain access to all the beta events. If you are bored with the questing system of most MMOs, GW2 has done a great job of fixing the grind. My Guild Wars 2 Blog can be found here: Divinity's Reach |

Originally posted by rexzshadow That could be fixed with allowing alliances. Remember, in Lineage 2 some of the larger guilds, even with alliances, were toppled by many smaller and medium guilds joining together. It's very doable. |

You know, I have played a lot of toons in this game and discovered one thing - leveling support solo is about as fun as watching my mold samples grow in the lab. It takes forever and not much happens, but the final product is a pretty, fluffly, orange fungus. Leveling a support is slow due to a lack of overall damage, but being able to heal a dungeon is crazy fun and active in this game... especially as a mystic. Chances are if you rolled up a dps, or grouped up with a dps, you would already be at cap. My suggestion (if you absolutely must, or have to, solo) would be to roll up alts. Although the mobs might look the same, how you kill them is markedly different between classes and that really takes the edge off of any potential burn out. Just to give you an example (and I love this one), if you roll a warrior, and feel like it is getting old, but do not want to lose mobility, rolling a slayer might be a good choice. The slayer will hit way harder with fewer swings, and remains mobile. If you simply want to hit like a train and don't mind moving slow so long as you can take out half a mob's health in one swing, berserker would be a good choice (LOLTHUNDERSTRIKE). The list goes on, but you get the idea (I hope). |

Originally posted by rexzshadow I am just floating all over the MMORPG site to all topics that pop up...I think its safe to say you are the one with issues. I mean, is your hold on the game so weak that you feel threatened by other peoples opinions? Kinda sad you know...I love seeing people give their opposing opinons on what I enjoy. But I DO thank you for not actually addressing my points made, you would think the troll would be the one floating around the entire site instead of the one sticking to a "terroritory". “I hope we shall crush...in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country." ~Thomes Jefferson |

Originally posted by jtcgs Well if i don't like a game i avoid it, i don't see if the point of constantly going on the thread of a game you don't like and posting negative comments? What do you want out of it to be exact? i mean if it was constructive than yes your engaging in a converstaion or debate and thats fun and i'm all for that. But all you do is post the same negative comments over and over and over thats been stated for month? Is there a point to repeating it? |

I find discussions about grinding nonsense. All persistent world games will be grindy if you stay long enough. It's just like real life. WOW,eq2,Vanguard,WAR,LOTRO,AOC,Rift Aion, SWTOR, TERA. Currently playing GW2. |

Are you exploring and finding all the other things besides DEs that there are to do out there? I only repeateded one DE between level 1 and 12 and it was because I enjoyed it. I waited around and did it TWICE more and had a ball all 3 times. I know I'm not very high level yet, but that's because I've found so many other things to do, like even crafting and EXPLORING. Exploring leads into all kinds of "quests," so to speak. You don't have to just keep repeating DEs, you just have to play the game like it's an exploration instead of the same ol' BS we've been playing for years in other games.
OP, I'm sorry to hear TERA isn't working out for you. I hate grinding too. If I'm going to have to grind, it had better be WELL disguised as FUN....so much so that I can't tell it's a grind at all. I played WoW for too long to not hate grinding. I just can't do it. I don't WANT to do the same instance 50 times or have to kill 200 raptors to get 10 raptor hearts. No thank you.

Yes, instead of a quest to collect 10 raptor hearts you would much rather have a dynamic event that has a bar that fills up each time you get a raptor heart. |

Originally posted by Xiaoki if the raptors were attacking a town and a group of us were defending it or perhaps I was escorting a caravan that was getting ravaged by them then yes yes I would... if you really compare stuff liek this to running out to find static raptors sitting in the same locations all the time and doing this over and over then well guess TERA is the game for you. I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg |

Originally posted by Xiaoki Lol, I love these people that can t figure out that theres more to it then that. Static mobs roaming around in a little area, compared to, mobs attacking a town, they re slightly different. Teras quest are nothing like GW2 DEs, even if the goal is the same, it s whats involved to get there. |

Originally posted by Xiaoki Hell the fuck yes! I would rather see the raptors charging at me, trying to kill me, than see them standing in a field waiting 1 by 1 ready to be killed. I also love the chance that I can actually fail in pushing them back. BOOYAKA! |

The only thing I want to know is that since you played a Mystic, were you actually any good at healing? If so, why didn't you just level through the dungeons? And if you're not, are we supposed to actually feel bad that you're leaving?
Originally posted by cyress8 Is there a difference? Yes. Is it another $60 + unconfirmed release date of waiting difference? Not really. |

Originally posted by JudgeUK My advice is don't try to complete the game so quick, take time and actually play the game. In vanilla wow , it took atleast 5-6months to level my first character, I took time to explore every nook and cranny and I RP'd alot, these sort of time sinks take some of the monotany out of the grind There are times when one must ask themselves is it my passion that truly frightens you? Or your own? |
