Err, that's it??? I understand not everyone from last time played through all the missions, but a fare few did, and to do a 2nd weekend with only 9 or so new missions, a fraction of what we had for the 1st, feels really... odd. We don’t even get the first instance, even though we can take the mission for it, and are right at the helicopter. Even if we get in next week, they really want to wait till 3 weeks before launch before mass testing it? And even if they know it's ok already, don't they want their potential players to get a taste of group combat as most of Kingsmouth is soloable? And what about a real try of the pvp? After people are starting to think Kingsmouth is the new Tortage, this is the worst thing they could have done, people where complaining within 3 hrs of the start, and I don’t see the sense from a testing let alone preview perspective. It will be nice to test out some new synergies over Sat/Sun, but dailies and grinding will be the only way to do that now. What do you lot think? |

I'm enjoying the CB personally but game is not ready for launch next month.... honestly GW2 is in better shape for a June launch than this one is and higher i get in TSW more it becomes apparent game needs at least few more months... I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg |

I finished all the "new" content in the first few hours of the beta starting. Now there's no reason for me to keep playing, no new skills to grind for, no new gear to get, I understand this is a beta and all, but still, 2 weeks of betas now and I haven't gotten to see any sizable portion of the world, or even a hint at what's to come after the starting zone. |

saying that I want this game to do well as I have already pre-ordered but game is not ready for next month launch and while in much better shape than AoC it still needs some work I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. Every friggin mission is hard/very hard, the population is dead (compared to the 1st weekend), combat feels like flailing my arms around doing nothing (and enemies die anyway - go figure. It's already approaching SWTOR fate even though it hasn't even come out... GW2 will eat it for breakfast. |
|
Originally posted by dimasok I like hard missions, though I think the labeling is flawed, its hard to tell population given the phasing used, I found the combat very challenging, and GW2 and TSW are aiming for very different markets. Also SWTOR had many issues TSW doesnt, if it fails it will be for different reasons.
As to this weekend, if it's just a stress test, why is it called the 2nd beta weekend? That implies some progression from the 1st, they just seemed to have ignored the previous week's players, there's no stress to test that I can see, just people from last time with nothing to do. As we are after this Friday not playing for the rest of the weekend, there will be less pop to stress the servers. |

Originally posted by dimasok Honestly, GW2 fanboism is getting seriously disgusting. Reading posts like this makes me wonder if GW2 community is one of the worst because I would not to play with people like you are. |

Originally posted by Piiritus I am not a fanboy of GW2. I am just saing that its WAY more fun and has FAR more polished mechanics, combat, etc Same goes for TERA. I paid for TSW and am not enjoying it at all for the reasons mentioned in multiple posts on this forum. I cancelled my grand master pack already but they didnt want to cancel the game itself which is a shame. Oh well, let's hope come release date and when more areas open up, I will at least have some of my money worth through having some fun. |

Originally posted by zevni78 What is so challenging about the combat? I found it to be extremely dull and simplistic. Choose blade as my first weapon which means, go up to a zombie mob, hit 1-2-3 or even just 3 (Pure AoE hate skill) and wait till they all drop. Hard mobs, take them on one at a time, use self buff when available, rince and repeat. Unless you found the challenge to be in spotting giant white lines on the ground and figuring out that you might want to get out of them. Really, when it came time to die for the something wicked quest, that was the first time I died, had to be told there even was corpse run in the game. Either I am missing something in the combat or I am playing it wrong or... well, not going to say you suck but maybe you have a lower treshold for things to be challenging. Behind the churge, the graveyard, that is where you first encounter non trash mobs (the 3-4 zombie you faced until then) the dearly departed. They also do the first attacks you got to evade. Do you consider them hard? Medium or a snore? Only challenge i had was that I foolishly pulled a bunch figuring they were like regular zombies and had to run in the church to get them off. Only hard mob I found was the civil war veteran with fire attacks because they happen so often and he turns with you that you can't do damage with a melee class. Mind you, we grouped up for that as he seemed to kill other players just as easily. |

Remember Kingsmouth is the starter zone. |

TO me playiung the same missions with another character was way less fun then the first time...
Replayabillity might be low, which also goes for other heavilly story based MMO's (for met that is) Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) |

Very disappointed so far, it looks like I am playing a single player game Questing is the only decent feature of this game. For what I've seen I am not going to buy TSW
