Originally posted by JuJutsu Hell. I'd be happy if it was different heads and clothing. Right now we got neither. The character creator is one of the worst I've seen in recent years for an MMO. It's the worst part about the game actually. It really is. |

Originally posted by jdnyc clothes in creaton don't need too much on it you can buy then later for more options, in this beta, london(HQ of each faction from what I could notice sell clothes), but the faces and body should have more options, but the clients bugs I found are the most annoying ones |

Originally posted by BarCrow Do u really believe that? That sounds like wishful thinking. I've NEVER played a beta 3 weeks before launch that didnt have the complete character crator. NOt star trek (which has the most robust character creation program), not any. They don't know what certain effects will do in certain environments. They havn't tested them. |

Originally posted by JuJutsu Customization is very important to me. I prefer many options. When the game launches (shortly) and they have not held up to there statement that more options are available...I will be displeased. I might even cancel my sub. It depends. Since the game hasn't launch I'm just concerned with clearing up other stuff...like all the bugs in the game. Frankly...the Spring-heeled Jack ability when jumping concerns me more as the customization as far as body features...though limited...are diverse enough to play the game comfortably. The clothing was the only thing that made most people look the same and there will be in-game vendors that will offer other clothing pieces for more individuality. Not to mention most of the "cooler" shite will likely be purchasable in the cash store (kinda sucks I know). Hell yeah i want more....body types..and multiple face and skin options at least. The thing is..as much as I like customization....the most fun I've had are in MMOs with crap customization...which is most of them it seems (gads..look at WOW). Then in games like STO..CO..COH..APB (all excellent character creation) the most fun I had was making my character but the rest of the game a yawn fest. The exception...oddly enough...AoC...character creation was damn good and I liked the game a lot. If I can say anything which you may agree with it would be....WHY IN THE HELL COULDNT THEY JUST TWEAK AND PORT THE AOC CREATION SYSTEM OVER TO TSW (and the animations for that matter). We probably wouldnt be having this disagreement.lol.

Originally posted by dontadow What I believe is secondary to the fact that...if you're in beta , you should be worried about testing the game to make it a smoother launch and better game all around instead of worrying about how "cool" you can look during beta. You can always wait until launch and ask if the customization has changed to your satisfaction. If it hasn't...dont buy the game. As far a STO ..a robust character creator was just about all that game had during beta. Same with CO and APB. Also...surely most realize there has been on ongoing Closed beta for quite a while. Who knows what goes on there? Hopefully just the NDA restricted testers. |

Originally posted by Aerowyn There are places in all the hub cities where you can buy loads of clothing options for both males and females. They look pretty good but I didnt get to try any of them in beta as I didnt get enough cash Cluck Cluck, Gibber Gibber, My Old Mans A Mushroom |

Originally posted by stragen001 Yeah..much of the clothing is pricey. They need to put up a Hot Topic..American Eagle and a Target for cheaper alternatives.lol. I will agree with stragen001 about female models though...Most of the faces looked like they'd already been gnawed on by "returned townies'. |

Originally posted by Theocritus This is not a fantasy game here. Why should I make difference between a Swedish guy and American? You can preview it, though. From what I could tell, it was mostly just recolors of the starting clothes, and hoped there were more interesting clothing shops further along in the game. When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

I'm curious, how's that going? Are people coming up with more interesting looks, now? Does it add a better feeling of customization than character creation alone? When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

Im sure theres room for more animations/more character creation options in the 15 gigs + thats missing from the current nerfed client.
It probably wont be anything crazy detailed, just some more options...
To be honest the game does what its suppose to do quite well. It kills the typical quest hub linear quest spam mood, if you will. Its not linear, you get a storyline quest, and you get side tracked into all sorts of tangents within the story that slowly piece together, its rather nice. The fact that i cant pick up additional quests of the same type forces me to focus, wich is nice since i dont lose track of the story pice im working on...the nice part is when you come across an interesting looking quest of another color, and start to "unlinear" since i suppose the main storyline would be considerd linear. I was in the sewer blowing off an IED when the zombies came, saw a "flushed pamphlet" was able to accept it so i did...ended up taking me to a very strange area...was a hippy camp, that was a religious cult, with some strange device protecting their camp. From there i started to tangent off the main quest. I ended up heading back to town eventually and picked back up where i had left off but was a nice hour or so diversion, and was interesting. It does this...quite well...and in the scope of a whole game, having TSW not have fantastic combat and animations (they are NOT bad just average..which dissapoints people) and may have a character creation thats worse than aion or PW where you can make deformed characters...but i see it no diffrent from say...GW2 having a cruddy storyline and beaten to death setting while having superior animations and combat...diffrent strokes is all.
