Right, so SWTOR is "doomed"... yeah, about as much as every other MMO it will eventually at some point in time be cancelled.
But looking at the numbers, looking at the updates, and yes, looking at my game experience from beta to early access to release till now, almost six month after release, I'll have to say that I found the SWTOR community (on my server) not only quite alive and well, but also BW doing a great job with update content and giving gamers lots of honey. Or how many MMOs do you know where they give you a free 30 days of gaming time just because you had a character levelled up to 50?
Let's see GW2 do that... oh, wait, they can't as there's no subscription fee... so, maybe a choice of outfits for free? Given that in GW1 an outfit pack sold for approx 9 quid, yeah, I'd say that about fits. :-P

ON YOUR SERVER. I'm not denying that there are 2 or 3 servers in NA and EU with active populations but look at the rest of the servers, they're ghost towns. It is my opinion, based on me playing the game for a month, that it is an unmitigated disaster, and I will also opine that I believe that game, in NA and EU, has between 200k-300k active players, much less than the 1.3 million subs they say they have.

GW2 is an awesome game and I believe they'll sell between 7 to 9 million copies within 2 years, with probably a good 5 million active players worldwide, the rest playing probably like 10 hours a week at most.

This is my opinion. I believe swtor is dead and has no chance to be a success at this point, especially with GW2, MoP, TSW, and Tera in the picture. Enjoy swtor while you can, it's dead.

Once a game begins to consolidate servers, you are left with nothing but diehards clammoring together.

The PVP is good.  To me it feels like an E-sports PVP game with just optional pointless PVE added.  If it was slightly cheaper I would have bought it just for that.

if you grind that is your faut not the game . you have 3 start areas 1-15lvl, if you do all of them your lvl will be +20 and remember that for now we dont have acess to asura and sylvaru start areas. 
if you grind is because you want or you didnt explore the world.

You must see that from another perspective-Hype is made from people who liked first part of gw, so they really don't know for anything better because they stick like a glue with one game.In wow for example you have 11 battlegrounds and they offer much much more than this kind of warhammer pvp, you can attack every town of oposing faction ion wow to gain achivement. Gw2 pvp is really poor and boring compared with some other games, but ok it is beta and they will make it better for sure. It was never my game not first part  and for sure not second part. But who we are to judge what players should like, if you played for years only gw you will find this kind of game play good. Your post is very good and i think the same about gw2

 Yeah I don't mind criticisms either when they are valid.  The problem is that the OP is basically a bunch of BS.  Most of the stuff he mentions he misunderstands, but many others have been over that :).

That said, I think there ARE a lot of valid criticisms of GW2 in its current state.  For example, the animations for some attacks still feel a bit "hesitant."  Like my character will stop running, hesitate, and THEN do the attack...this really annoys me.

I also think that the game could give new players a bit more guidance in the beginning.  Maybe just tip them off that they can travel to the other races' starting areas and play there too.

You only compare it to WoW and WAR. You say its PvP is just like WARs. Obviously you don't know how either WARs PvP works, and GW2 WvWvW works. IMHO you came into this with these already in mind, because obviously you still play WoW (atleast that is what it feels like to me). Good for you, but don't be scared of a little change, and don't believe its a completely new game. While it is different, its core is the same, MMORPG.

WARs PvP is much more linear. In order to get to objective D, you have to take A, B, and C. while not in any particular order, you must do those first in order to take D. WvWvW is more of an open PvP set up. while you can't invade the other servers, you have freedom of choice as to what to attack, when to attack. You don't have to fight in Red servers home world (unless thats all your almighty server has left to do), you can go around green and take a tower from behind, you can cut supplies (HUGE in this game), or you can just go out and mindlesly kill people.

While i can't comment on WoWs PvP, from what i've heard its a different beast from both DAoC and WAR. Vanilla WoW i wish i would've tried, where the open run around PvP was more apart of the game, now its just battlegrounds or whatever. To me the biggest change in GW2 is the 3rd side for PvP, while i don't like each server has identical classes, they have 3 sides, and that makes the PvP. I don't think you've ever tried it so i do think that you should give it some time to shine.

I don't think a lot of people will be happy about this game at launch. Honestly. I think a lot of people are going FLAME over it. PvP will be unbalanced. You will have your servers that LARGE guilds are dedicated to matched up against nothing but a lot of smaller less organized guilds, and that is very frustrating. I personally think a lot of people won't like the game based on the first 2-3 months of PvP. But i think once the servers are more matched, with like kind servers pitched against each other, that the PvP will shine. Once you get a few different play style servers that are about same in population and execution, the competetion will become big, and will make a lot of people very happy.

Also one more thing. The people that hit lvl 80 or even level 50 very fast i do think will have an advantage in V8. They will have their build complete, and some very good armor, atleast vastly superior to level 20 armor :) So while level may not make a huge difference, the level of the armor and weapons you have i do believe will, the start of the game won't be bad, but 2 months in when some people re-make alts, they will go, "WTF this guy dies to fast and his dps is crap!". Well yea bud, you're level 15 against level 70's with some decent gear. Expect it. Learn it. Love it. But once people hit lvl 40, i think they will be able to be very effective even against the highest level guys.

But 1st of all you are  entitle to your opinion but this game has lot of potencial and from what i have playedon BW and Stress Test,  its a really  fun game not boring like the others, so if you don´t like the game thats fine just don´t try to change people´s mind or are you another ea dude payed to bash the game ?
