To be honest I thought blizzard would be intellegent enough to input a login que but...guess not. Oh well, now we'll have to wait. Played-Everything |

They probably considered it... but then realized people who wanted to play single-player only having to wait in Queue would get pissed... so they opted to make unplayable for all! |

Blizzard releases are always like this. Even expansions. They obviously don't care. And it won't be an issue once everyone isn't trying to log in simultaneously. The best solution is for everyone to wait ten minutes between log attempts. That way we spread out the load on the authentication server, and we can all get in sooner. "There are two great powers, and they've been fighting since time began. Every advance in human life, every scrap of knowledge and wisdom and decency we have has been torn by one side from the teeth of the other. Every little increase in human freedom has been fought over ferociously between those who want us to know more and be wiser and stronger, and those who want us to obey and be humble and submit." — John Parry, to his son Will; "The Subtle Knife," by Phillip Pullman |

Just another example of cheap companies not wanting to spend money is all. Should have not bought the game, now just a waste of time. |

With the cloud technology available today, it hardly costs them anything to increase the login server capacity temporarely and phase them out later on, when load decreases! This is totally unnacceptable for a multi billion dollar bussiness like Blizzard! Im glad I didnt buy this crap.... as I knew it would happen, as the public beta weekend was a dissaster with this 37 error crap all the way till the end! No matter what moment on the day you tried to login. I had to retry at least a dozen times every friggin time I tried to get in. Blizzard really has become the joke of the industry along with Mythic and Bioware. |

or maybe it is a dammned if you do dammned if you do not situation...
I am pretty sure it would have been the same b*bleep*g if they had a que system and you were greeted with a "you are number 6878 in que, estimated log in time is 4 houers" so does it really matter. Now i understand that some of you poeple are pissed having wasted sickdays/vacation/sick leave or just simple stayed home, and can't play... But then again perhaps it was atab bit optimistisc to belive that the launch of a franchice the sice of Diablo would be smooth a butter... i am pretty sure DoD don't have the power to handle that... even less so Blizzard. This have been a good conversation |

Queue = More time to write hateful posts. Spam login = No time to write hateful posts. Well played Blizz.
In all honesty these problems lasted for 2 hours and with 3 million peeps hammering the gates I'd say the did a really good job with the launch. |

Originally posted by Lagoz That aside, but people need to drill it into their little minds that this (with the possible exception of the expansion) is the only time that so many people try to login all at once. I read some posts that argued that Blizzard "haz gotz zhe moniez" and need to spend it on better equipment. But companies don't do that for a situation that occurs just once. That would be retarded. Considering the fact that most people will forget about these problems when they played the game for a few days, it's would be doubly silly to do that. |
