Actually I wanted to write or video my impressions.

In short: My impressions of the game itself is great, despite a handful minor flaws. It is a must buy.

I sympathize in regard to the treatment earlier, but this thread will serve no good purpose El, you know that.

I am interested in your thoughts on beta...seriously. I like reading everything about GW2. I have decided to wait and play at launch. I have beta tested too many games and I now don't like investing the time leveling a toon that I know will be wiped.

I agree with Distopia.  Don't sweat it, forums are not indicative of the types of treatment you'll find in most of the games that are discussed on them....... usually.

Yeah I feel bad for the whole debacle earlier as well, I tried to defend you but the voice of the mob was too loud lol.  Anyway, I'm glad you got in the game and glad that you enjoyed it :).

where the graphics the same as last beta? becouse I miss last one but play the Beta Stress test and man im loving it currently playing a Norn Warrior I was impress but I think they need to optimize the network and fix some glitches I found one myself and reported it I think we will see 2 more betas maybe becouse ther people still complaining Guild Wars 2 still have some problems for release.  what you guys think?

I can honestly say I have never seen a community where so many are willing to bash others for having or expressing a negative opinion of their favored game.

Providing counters to inaccurate information is one thing. Expressing a positive opinion of the game to counter negative posts is fine. But seriously, so many people here act as if expressing a negative opinion of GW2 or ANet is like someone taking a piss in their cheerios. 

People behaving like this has made me almost ashamed to be a fan of ANet and GW2.

Yeah the graphics were the same as far as I know.  I also agree that 2 more betas should be adequate in addition to all the testing that goes on outside of BWE's.  I'm not a dev though, so it is mostly just wishful thinking.  A few more stress tests and betas and we'll be at release in no time.

But since in this place people decided to flame me at every possible step, being oh so sure what I like and hate (or so they think), I waste not time on an audience filled with acidic people. I have better things to do than share my thoughts about my hobby in a place dragged down by people who only know personal attacks.

Glad you got into it in the end. I dont know if you even got a chance to see my tips with all the flaming the others were doing.

GW2 has developed quite a large fan base, and I dont just mean people who like the game, I mean the obsesive kind and they will kill you and your family if you say any more bad things about GW2.

Good to see you got things straightened out and was able to enjoy yourself.

I was suprised how smooth things were for a stress test.  I went afk for a about three hours when my fiance and daughter dragged me out of the house kicking and screaming like a child to do some shopping ( I kid...I kid...).  When I got back I was still online!  I thought it would have at least booted me for being inactive, but nope.  Still there.

Jumped into some WvWvW and Red was raping us pretty bad.  Had us backed up to the primary keep thingy where I zoned in.  Was basically back and forth from there since both had quite a few people and arrow things set up.

Still had a blast

Is there a place where I can find the beta events?

 Well, if he rewrote his title and OP from "WORST launcher ever!"  to "Hey guys,  I'm having problems getting the game to launch."  I think he would have been flamed alot less.  Do you not agree?  He came off trollish right at the beginning.   

However, others should still learn to not be rude to someone even if the other comes off rude themselves.  Calm them down and find out what kind of problems they have.

That was what i though, and why i didnt even bother to help. Didnt like the attitude when i read the 1st thread post.. You shouldnt judge a community for doing that when it was you who should have started a thread with a more humble attitude, specially if you needed help. Thats what i think.

It was his opinion that the GW2 Launcher was the worst he had seen. I happen to disagree with him. It worked beautifully for me.

Why would an opinion about a game launcher, not an attack against a person, be justification for personal attacks against the poster ?

Personally I think the OP is clearly a troll post as per mmorpg guidelines, and I quote - "excessive negative comments or baiting others to respond in a negative manner is considered trolling on the MMORPG.com forums."

Hopefully it will be deleted pronto and the OP given a warning. Down with this sort of thing.

That happens with every game not just guild wars 2. you know that as well as i do.
