The thing your looking for is not to find in a virtual world. The answer my friend is out there, and the reason why you play games.

The irony is that everyone has their own identifyable "best one" out there, but just WILL NOT GO BACK AND F**KING PLAY IT.

I know the feeling.  Been that way since 2005ish.

I took a break after hopping from SWG (beta-NGE) to WoW (2005-2007).  Played DFO from beta until about three months after release.  Played WoW from 3.2 until 4.2.2  (and beta'd APB somewhere in there).  Now I am stuck.  lol

My current goal is to join in with GW2 until ArcheAge.  Then play that at least up to the release of Embers of Caerus.

We will see how that works.  ;)

I would be still playing WoW and FFXI, if they were the games now, that they were when I started playing them.

With Wings of goddess and abyssea for FFXI it has gone SUPER easy mode, leveling used to take you 4months to a year, now I hear you can cap in less then a month, 

Same thing with WoW, they have bypassed all of the real content and so you zoom to cap in a week or two, and then raid/grind gear untill you are blue in the face..

....So yeah, I do wish I could go back and play it...

So this last week I finally got RedAlert 2 and Tiberian Sun to work on LAN, so me and some buddies have been playing those to death....

And I'm playing SimCity4, and AoE2

(notice a theme here...?)

i would love to go back and play it, except, it doesnt exist anymore.

I recently did that just for nostalgia's sake and get up to date on new additions and mechanics to the game but it really boils down to the fact that I've fully exhausted myself of that game before I quit and there is simply no going back other than small visits. Not that I'm complaining, I'm way over wasting time playing every title released to find one that will give me "that" feeling again.

I'm soooooooo tired of going back to WOW again and again.......

So am I,just tired of going back and being disappointed to hell because it isn't the game i used to love anymore.

I've been playing it almost since release on and off,and the most amazing times spent there were during vanilla.Not because it was balanced,because most of it wasn't,the community used to be great back then while now its filled with trolls and cocky kids.I have nothing against kids,as long as they get proper education.

When you got an epic,it was epic in the true meaning of the word.Following the lore was great,i could imagine and build a story around every character i played,because the lore and environment allowed it.

From my point of view,R.I.P WoW.This year was my last return/quit.

Please Pathfinder Online, be that little gem!

Because the game (DAOC)  as I remember it no longer exists in that form anymore.

EVE would be a decent alternative, but after 3 years I've completed all I set out to there and am looking for a new, fun experience.

Instead I'm given mostly retreads and I try to find the fun where I can.
