I kind of like the Secret World's graphics. They have an old school feel to them. |

Originally posted by ActionMMORPG Kingsmouth is a lot better than Tortage and it's like that through the whole game. Btw, regarding the hold-your-hands question, yeah the game isn't ALL about bending your mind. There are multiple types of quest: Action (red), Sabotage (yellow), Investigation (green), Story (blue). It's just the green ones that works like typical adventure game quests. The red ones play like normal mmo quests, just really well made and sabotage quests usually involve some jumping or sneaking. The story quests are kind of simple investigation quests and holds your hand quite a lot. |

Originally posted by Valkaern There are several quests that do not give you any indicator of where to go. Again, play for more than 10 minutes and you will see this stuff until then, your opinion, while valuabe to you, means less than nothing to me. |

Sorry, but that's just lame. I mean, 10 minutes? Even really bad F2P Asia MMO I test at least 1 hour, to see whats next. Holy Trinity who art in our MMORPGs! Blessed be thy speccs, as in WOW so in all MMOs! Our daily loot grant us, and forgive us our noobness, as we forgive the noobs! And do not lead us to disconnects, But deliver us from mediocrity, For thine is the specialization and the teamwork and the endgame, Until cancellation, Amen! |

Originally posted by red_cruiser TSW really has some great graphics, except the character models which feel unfinished. I came across a rocky beach and with Tesselation turned on the rocks you see are actually not just textures but geometry which makes it feel a lot more real. Edit: bah, not possible to see the details arfter the site resized it. :/ |

Originally posted by mmoDAD You just seem to be negative for negativitie's sake. You seem to have a shallow view of MMOs. Some like the story driven MMOs where you CAN solo all the way. Nothing wrong with those. Some like the vast sand box games, more power to them.
Your sig proves to me (after what you said it means...cause in truth, it was lost on me til you said what it meant) is that you base you opinions on very weird beliefs about what an MMO is "supposed to be".
To me, a game is like a book or movie. Someone has a creative idea, whether based on making money or not, and asks us to play it/test it. What we think matters a bit, but they are making what they want. Your choice not to like it. Not your choice to tell us what it is. That's why we have opinions. Your opinion is just off to me. |

Kind of hard to take anyone seriously that only plays 10 minutes of a game. I mean, if the game turns you off in only 10 minutes, that's fine, but don't expect us to give a crap about your opinion when you didn't play long enough to form one. |

Originally posted by mmoDAD You also have games like tera where you dont need your brain. At this point people is just tired of grindfest MMO, maybe not you, but lot of people really love to have an story in each quest, with a cutscene like swtor and tsw. maybe thats why tera have only 11 servers, 2 heavy, 2 normal, and the rest low, talking about population. And a game like swtor still more than 1mill of subs after 6 months of the release. |

Originally posted by Kuinn Its like playing SWTOR and hating cutscenes...or playing GW2 and hating pvp....why on earth are you playing a game like this if your not interested in the story...the diffrent quest system....classless characters...ect? How often you you go into other games hating what that game offers then act shocked you didnt like it (within 10min ofc) then proceed to spend more time raging on a 3rd party forum than actually playing?

Originally posted by Fadedbomb If you had, at any time during this games development, actually read anything about the game, then this wouldnt be a surprise to you. It was ALWAYS touted as an epic storyline based game...just because they took a step towards sandbox ONLY with the classes doesnt mean the whole game was meant to be a sandbox where you make your own content...Thats what darkfall is go play that it needs players.
I too am sorry for the OP....perhaps for other reasons however.
Do people read about the games anymore? Or is this just a troll post from someone who never played the game? |

Congrats OP, that was 10 minutes longer I was willing to give a new Funcom MMO. “I hope we shall crush...in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country." ~Thomes Jefferson |

While I guess it is certainly possible to determine within ten minutes of starting a game whether you want to play it or not, it certainly means you can't give much of an informed opinion about its strengths and weaknesses. Much of what the OP said was available as info before the betas started.
It's story and puzzle oriented. People who don't like that aren't going to have a good time, or play well with those that do.
Good luck finding your perfect game.... If you are waiting for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one. |

I t beggars belief that the OP quite frankly writes a completely irrevelant post, adds nothing to any debate as quite rightly 10 mins is absurdly stupid as this game is a STORY BASED GAME,you know you have have to solve puzzles maybe it's a tad bit mind blowing but yeah they have said this since it's inception. So i suggest takeing a chimp sitting him/her in front of keyboard let them bash the holy hell out of it because after that the simian would no doubt make more sense than some of the crap posted here, that then by in all it's madness goes to 10 pages,i'm not sure the dawn of the info-age was such a good idea at times

Originally posted by darker70 Its a funcom game. People are out to exact any form of revenge they can for the AoC launch. Hell a year after the AoC launch i popped into these forums asking if it was ok to give the game a try, i was bombarded with reasons the game is terrible...decided to just play it and enjoyed over a year of AoC. But like the AoC forums here, eventually it will be run by these people exacting revenge and every topic will go on and on with the arguments untill the person trolling is the last man standing. This is only the beginning. There are critical reviews for the game on the games official forums which explains without heavy bias whats wrong with the game and wants good with the game. I suggest going there if you want an accurate picture of how the game is shaping up. I would further suggest waiting untill the CBT NDA is lifted so we can get reviews from those people. Anyone who remembers AoC launch remebers that these CBT testers gave the first warning of a game unfinished, yet millions decided to buy expecting a complete game. Official forums are very handy since the forums here tend to spin out of control fast for funcom games (i also find the banter there humersous and entertaining rather than confusing and fustrating here) |

I was watching the MMORPG stream this morning and TSW doesnt look bad at all. They have some things to iron out, but it seemed interesting. It definatly doesnt deserve wholesale hatred. Its just too bad they have a launch window that is similar to GW2. Piss poor timing TBH. |
