Man, the "overbloated" skill tree is what's interesting to me about this game.
Yeah, you can't have all the skills at once. That's kind of the point. Bout to play for the first time though so maybe I'm wrong. Haha. Shadow's Hand Guild The Secret World - Dragons Planetside 2 - Terran Republic Tera - Dragonfall Server |

I was burned by EA with Swtor not too long ago. Thank you OP I don't want that happen again so soon. If I look at this game it will not be until at least 6 months after launch. I want to be Uncle Owen again. |

[mod edit] So what, being popular and well liked isn't a character flaw. I want to be Uncle Owen again. |

Its really a mixed bag, im all over TSW and am excited for it. Im about 30 hours into it. I talked to a few people and there thoughts on the game, in game, and some said they wernt sure if they were going to buy it, one said there not cause of the subscription, one said " hell yes!". Personally I can overlook the flaws the current build has and say Id definitely buy it.

Originally posted by Crunchy221 imo you shouldnt bring GW2 into the discussion, as it stomps every MMO that has been announced or is released currently. there is no spamming in GW2 because most abilities are skill-based, like they would be in a MOBA. this means you're constantly positioning and aiming to get the greatest effect. not to mention the combos youre doing with other people. i was using all 10 abilities on my guardian (15 in pvp if you count the elite form) on every CD. i was actually overwhelmed. the issue with TSW is that it copies GW 1's system with the skill deck, but it plays like WoW. select target, click, and watch the animation unfold. |

I'd agree with the OP, I was looking forward to TSW and GW2 for, respectively, PvE and PvP but I've played both betas and honestly TSW doesn't compare to GW2 in terms of "production quality". As pointed out by the guy who did the video "10 reasons to be interested in GW2" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBC_ig73aMs the production quality is how well things fit together, the clunkiness of animation and combat (or not), etc. IMHO TSW lacks production quality: it is clunky, it is slightly unpleasant to play and not as smooth as you would expect a game to be. I keep my faith in the game, but I will be twice as careful before buying - the beta failed to convince me. A shame because I was really looking forward to the story of the game (but I'll keep myself updated on the game). PS: I should add, the story looks interesting. |
