Originally posted by punkrock Plz use Brain mate. 3 Factions would even mean MORE Players (if so) and not "just" 2. U know what i mean? And Illum, even with 2 Factions, was PvP wise "pain in the butt" for nearly every PC. No Fail. To the posting above me; Even if modificated Hero Engine, it will not handle that much Polys in RvR. But as said, i would be happy as you if they proof that wrong. But until then, SWTOR PvP on Hero Engine is the measurement. And that was Crap, laggy as Hell and so forth. |

I really dont see what the problem is, if you were on MMORPG.com when skyrim came out... you would of seen all the threads stating how The Elderscrolls would not make a great mmo. If your looking for TES experience your gunna hafta play the single player Bethseda release Im going to buy every 3 faction game coming out until im tired of the DoaC clones XD |

You have no idea, i used my brain just fine lad, you`re the one that needs to know the basic of 3 faction pvp. Not my fault you grew up with wow and it`s 2 faction type crap or SWTOR. You will be ok just do some reading and research then come back TC. MYSPACE ACCOUNT http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=80721225 |

but will they be kept seperate, or will players be able to PvE in other faction's provinces? Like AoC has three distinct areas for its factions, but they're all shared, not isolated like the realms in DAoC. When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world. |

Really? The ebonheart pact sounds like the albion of the ESO. It has the huge popular human race nord and always favourited dark elves. |

I think 95% of MMORPGs will be WoW clones until economies improve in Europe and the US. I doubt anyone is willing to take risks and do something truly different. |

A game like this would do better with FFA pvp as opposed to 3 faction. FFA gives people the ability to form their own factions which is much more eldar scrollsy than forcing people into factions. I foresee another SWTOR type disaster. Are you a Pavlovian Fish Biscuit Addict? Get Help Now! |

Thus far I haven't seen them talk about anything that justifies a subscription in the current MMO environment. They don't seem to be talking about any NEW features to MMO's and sure as heck aren't paying too much attention to the "Elder Scrolls" aspect of it. If it's a subscription based game, I'm calling it right now that it will be stillborn. They have a TON of work to do after this initial salvo of information that's pissed off just about everyone (MMO players aren't too excited, most TES fans I've seen are pretty insulted ect). |

Stop comparing these games to DAOC. If you pine for it so badly, go and play it. Servers are STILL around. It's the next WoW, it's the next DAOC. You're setting yourself up for failure to early on in development. With the general reaction on the internet, you'll be lucky if this sees the light of day. |

Originally posted by Czanrei As much as I like three faction PvP, I can't say that I am excited about this one, considering it is Bethesda. Skyrim was a big buggy piece of crap (and still is, for me at least). I guess I will be in a holding pattern until beta comes. |

How can any DAoC fan be pleased with this?
Sure its 3 faction, but only in 1 zone. So this might as well be like an RvR lake from WAR. Plus TESO will have raiding and dungeon grinding for the best gear, so unlike DAoC and very much like the failure of ToA, those with more time will envitably out perfrom those who dont....Artifacts or Epic Purplez from dungeons, whats the difference. I can not see any logical DAoC player happy with this. |

Originally posted by Truelevel I didnt see 1 post saying any such thing, dont make crap up. I loved Skyrim and this site exploded with Skyrim joy and many posts detailed how awesome it would be to see a Skyrim sandbox MMO.
A few people here parrot the party line that was fed to them by Zenimax, TES features cant be done but the truth is they are to f***ing scared to take a chance on a sandbox game so they develop WoW clone# 297. Escpiecally true when you consider everything that was in that release quote has been done before some of it as far back as 1999. Such as Housing, its a f***ing shame a company will go out of their way to implement an activity that less 10% of the player population will participate in (raiding) but refuse to implement a feature that only 30-50% will be able to take advantage of (player housing) because it cant be done right. Which means that they cant add enough real estate to offer 100% of players a house. It makes you go derp thinging of the assinine thinking like this. |
