Players come for the game, but they stay for the people- Most Devs have forgotten this. |

Why are people talking about games like EQ and VG? You're doing it wrong. |

TR at first glance was nice. Cloning was also usable feature. Was fast paced. Not sure what was exactly wrong however with game, but was first one where I have not used not even 1 week out of 1 month of gameplay. Lost completely any interest and fun after aprox this 1 week. Soon after my purchase, maybe 2 months later, company announced they are closing servers. As SF was very remotely reassembling swtor, which however I play now for months since day 1 and is still fun as day 1. Same with wow and Rift. And here my list end. Enjoyed a lot also War if not for impossible bugs and other problems. Aoc same fate. Later lost wish to continue. What is important for me is that all my gaming need for next 5 or 10 years guess are covered with this trio: swtor, wow and rift. :-)) |

I have to agree, Tabula Rasa and The Chronicles of Spellborn i liked very much, but sadly they are no longer, surely they could push all these titles onto a couple of servers and charge a trickle amount lets say free to play, would enjoy the opportunity to play either and/or both again.. Am i being too greedy (come on guys theres got too be a small profit in it, and as they say a little of a lot, is better than a lot of eff-all) ? Paxal

I miss MxO. I think having an unrestricted and almost class-less game like that as my first MMO kind of spoiled me as I haven't been able to really get into another MMO as much. Hopefully the secret world comes out it will bring similar feelings with it. |

For me stargate online was one i saw that by concept, and even some fo the screens that were put out had alot that could have gone well with it. Even the how they werre doing the race was interesting, which gave it a feel atleast by hwo it was placed foth that it could feel like the movie/series. I would like to see it still finished yet the fan-base of stargate is not what it used to be. ANother game that has alot of promise would be cabal (even the cabal 2 if it happens looks great.) , but it has been getting pretty dead overall for a while, and dated kinda. |

Auto Assault was a fun little MMO. I would play that again. |

The only game I could ever get misty eyed and sentimental about is Eve Online, but that's because it IS good and IS going places. Because all characters are on the same server, you could get attached to other characters, but perhaps that's going a bit too far. |

All the Spellborn comments (especially the one from a former dev!) make the game's closure all the more upsetting. :( Too bad. A game that was rough around the edges but overall quite excellent. Glad to see its left an impression on more than a couple of you! If you're feeling nostalgic, this is a great Spellborn video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zayiqOX_5I Michael "MikeB" Bitton |

Have to throw in another vote for Auto Assault. First MMO I knew of that used Nvidia's PhysX. Could have been awesome if NCSoft wasn't such a crap company.

Jumpgate Evolution
It's one of the ones that I casually followed for a long time as it appeared to have a lot of good things going for it. I liked the single server concept, the PvP, and the twitch combat. |

I think we could be clearer with our definitions of 'potential'.
If one was looking at it as meaning 'is awesome but could be much better from a feature standpoint'... I would say the clear winner for me in that category would... Auto Assault. Had an extremely fun/solid driving/combat mechanic, but could have seriously benefited from more social/economy/story MMO type mechancs
If one was looking at it as meaning 'could have been so much more if it had the budget and support that modern MMO's enjoy', my selection, of course would be... Star Wars Galaxies. Had EVERYTHING I have come to love in MMO's (Pre-CU, and somewhat CU as well). Could have seriously benefited from the executives understanding what SWG's strengths actually were so they would have actually supported the amazing beast. |

If they ever tried to release a new Ultima Online game, you wouldn't be able to tell if they were reviving an old game, coming up with something new or some Frankenstein combination of the two. As far as Chronicles of Spellborn was concerned, I absolutely loved it. It was a game that just felt very satisfying to play. Your character felt powerful, but you had to earn it by slotting your powers right and using them in the right sequence. Very well done game. I think considering what SWTOR turned out to be, reviving Star Wars Galaxies is probably a game that makes a lot of sense to release. |
