Awesome looking armor... I really like the whole Norn theme. 

I immediately thought Skyrim and that's not a bad thing IMO.

I just thought about if down scaling is working at all ? Being that unscratched and fastkilling just doens't make it look like it.

RPG wise that's how it is for me. Funny thing is when I tried the GW2 out last year, every single MMO beta I tried afterwards felt very boring and underwhelming. Same with console rpg's, it's why I didn't buy any released MMO so far, and didn't buy Kingdom of Almaur(I think that's how you spell it), I gave in to Mass Effect but ended up going back to Skyrim.

I still play Battlefied 3 and NBA 2K12 though.

And yes the armor is badass, there is another video showing armor/weapon vendors at Lion Arch, some crazy ish.

Yup. I haven't touched Skyrim since January and all of a sudden a days after the BWE I got an urge to play it. So here is am, playing Skyrim and waiting for the next BWE.

I think it's because of the Randiant AI that Skyrim has. It's very similar to how NPCs act in GW2. Obviously it's more involved since it's a single player game.

Aye speaking of the AI, I like how in GW 2 not all monsters go after you but other species just like Skyrim. Fun to watch and then go kill the winner.

Downscaling works just fine. Last day of beta I joined a friend playing a level 3 Mesmer as a level 16 Elementalist and it was still fun and challenging doing level 3 content. Most of the weekend, I was doing content 3 to 6 levels below my level and ditto there as well.

The game makes encounters more challenging and demanding on players as content levels go higher. This mechanic may level off, or at least adopt a more shallow curve, beyond a certain point, but  the game does try to ease you into all the possibilities you might encounter in MOB A.I./skill use, so you have time to adapt, learn to play and also to allow for greater challenge once you get further into character progression.

So, even though level scaling works as it should, level 8 encounters, by design, just aren't as challenging as level 20 encounters, regardless of your true level. For skilled players, level 8 encounters will have about the same level of challenge whether you are playing them as a level 8 character, or a level 20 character.

Haha, right Norn look AMAZING now and I wasnt interested in them at all in BWE.... I was going to go charr or asura all ze way!

I decided not to spoil the games official launch. so I chose a class to play exclusively during BWE. I chose the warrior because I figured I wouldn't play it after launch. Watching that, and seeing how cool that armor looks, I may just stick with it!
