Main will be a sylvari guardian. Alts for now a norn mesmer (norn because I think a big hulking fat norn can look funny with the fancy clothes mesmer seem to like) and an asuran warrior (I want to play the little guy with the huge sword.. and not in that way you're thinking, get your mind off the gutters!!! :) )
What can men do against such reckless hate? |

Whatever is the most OP of coarse. JK, idk, have to play the game first. Looks like I won't get to until they release a trial. |

Most definitely a thief. I will be playing with dual pistols and switch to dual knives for the up & close personal touch. Will probably make him Asura to make him as inconspicous as possible. |

I expect the eles to drop in % later after people understand the power of being able to switch sets (which eles and engis cannot do) "Society in every state is a blessing, but government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one ..." - Thomas Paine |

Finally a poll that shows pretty much the same class distribution I noticed in the BWE. Need more Rangers though, besides that I noticed Engineers and Guardians seemed to be the least represented.

engy to start. Guns! I dont really like fantasy, but GW1 was too good of a game to skip. "Never met a pack of humans that were any different. Look at the idiots that get elected every couple of years. You really consider those guys more mature than us? The only difference between us and them is, when they gank some noobs and take their stuff, the noobs actually die." - Madimorga |

May want to change the name 'hunter' to ranger. There are no hunters in GW2. My first class will probably be warrior. I really enjoyed the engineer, but they take a while to ramp up, and can be somewhat painful before you get all their utility skills. I'm hoping the class either gets a buff or a revamp in terms of how their skills play out (seems to heavily skewed towards kits, meaning you need to be lvl ~20+ to start seeing the full use of the class). |

Guardian then Ranger (if they fix the pet issues) and probably a little Thief. I'd consider Elementalist if they were less glass and more cannon. |

I find it hard to believe that Thief is lower than Engineer.... |

Wow though...no love for Mesmers? I mean they're tough guys, but that's half the fun!

Originally posted by terrant They are wrong then .... Engineer needs work, it has two specs which are viable in SPvP and an incredibly slow PvE progression. Edit * Needs work implied its broken, its absolutely not a broken class ... it just needs an overall dps buff and minor kit tweaks. The class has to work harder than any other to perform a job that arguably any other profession can perform easier and to a better degree. It's a tough line to walk .... its hard to explain why this can be the case for the Engineer, yet it not be broken to me. I see the class being different from the others in Gw2 in that - Every profession can perform whichever role they desire, where as the Engineer can perform multiple roles in combat... it just needs some work to be in the sweet spot.

Originally posted by Redemp Engi is good enough as it is... they can do decent dmg if specced properly and have a lot of control over their targets... no there arent only two competitiive specs for sPvP there are multiples (elixir engi, rifle focus burst down engi, defensive engi, grenade kit engi stacks AMAZING amounts of conditions and also does good damage, and a lot more), only a few of his skills need some improving... What engis really need is a trait rebalance... as an example the invention tree only benefits turrets and shields with its major traits, making it pointless for a kit engineer that uses a rifle and no turrets to even consider it an option. |

I'm going with engineer, I loved using the grenades in WvW. I want to be Uncle Owen again. |
