DLGamer is an authorized pre-seller, so the good news is that a purchase from them is legit. However, I agree that the add should not say "Sign up and Play now". You can't just sign up and even if you pre-purchase from them, you can not "play now". Want to know more about GW2 and why there is so much buzz? Above was taken directly from site. Notice what the red part says? Now does everyone see the problem with this? Again MOST people know that this game is not out yet but SOME people don't follow these thing as closely as we do. Therefore they will be the ones that get burnt on this. "Signup and Play Now" on this site. "Release Date: 04/10/2012" on the next site. So how is it clear that you CANNOT PLAY RIGHT NOW?

I will never order something from DL Gamer, no matter whether they are an authorised seller or not. I tried to buy Aion from them via Paypal - they took the money and then sent an email in bad English asking me to scan or take a picture of my passport and email it to them so they could complete the order. I emailed them back to query this (since I have a verified Paypal account) and never got a response. I had to make a claim through Paypal (DL Gamer didn't respond to Paypal either) and in the end Paypal refunded me. |

Fanboys, stop getting your panties in a twist. No one is accusing ANet of anything, or really even DLGamer of anything, they are a legit retailer and I have purchased games from them before with no problem. (Although the info people have pointed out about the GW2 release date is misleading). Yes WE all know that GW2 is a prepurchase and is not released yet, but not everyone does. The issue is the big blue button at the top of the GW2 pages on MMORPG.com which says "sign up and play now". You cannot sign up and play now because the game isnt released yet.
