Yes, I prepurchased Digital Deluxe Edition and after I tried the game last Friday I requested my money back right away.... It took Arena Net 6 days to send me the email saying they refounded my money, this is one of the worst customer services I ever had to deal with. When I did the same for Tera Online I got an answer in few hours, thumbs up for EnMasse customer service. What made me change my mind and ask my money back? Well like everyone else I had many errors and lag from the start but that's not it even on Sunday I still had lag and low FPS on my high end gaming PC which handles in high setting FFXIV and any other mmorpg there is. In GW2 I had to go to the lowest setting to get 35 FPS. These issues might be fixed soon but main reason I didn't like was the gameplay, every few steps I was taken inside an instance to do a quest or talk to an NPC, to me personally the game feels 100% single player role playing game with chat addition. It is very very similiar to GW1 which I didn't like at all, and the videos I have seen so far make it look better but when you actually play it feels un natural and weird. Example I don't like WoW at all and the artstyle too but the movement feels so fluid compared to the stiffness of GW2. I hit a button by mistake and guess what poped on my screen CASH SHOP now that did it I give up that's it GW2 it's not buy2play it's a cash shop game so that's a no no!!! |

I already pre-purchased the game. I was very hyped before BWE. I was a little disappointed during the BWE mostly due to low framerates which they claim will be improved before release. Since BWE ended, I've found myself eager for the next one to start. So no regrets here. Compared to other soon to be released AAA MMOs that have monthly subscriptions, GW 2 is incredibly cheap. It doesn't have to be 100% perfect to be well worth buying. CU FP#0: The game must be fun. This overrides all the other FPs. Interested in: TESO, Wildstar, CU |

Originally posted by Roybe Yes, i also have some concerns about some aspects, but im liking of the staff feedback at official forums. Now and then we see an official thread about a concern players have. Last thing i saw, and i was happy about it, was that the problem players were having to play with friends was a bug and they are working on it. |

I've been critical of the game and of the community but I have always planned on buying the game and after all of the complaints I heard after the beta weekend, it compelled me to pre-order the game. I didn't expect the game to be perfect and the only thing that was stopping me was the lack of humilty form the GW2 fanbase but now that I'm seing evidence of humilty, I'm on board :) |

Originally posted by RedKatana Well these are some of the problems I've heard. Friday was a bad day all around for everyone. You did realize that the game is currently CPU bound and not being rendered by the GPU, this is supposed tp be part of the optimization process to be done prior to release. However, I do understand the concern. As far as instances, I did not see that many...I ran a good part of my personal story, and obviously this was instanced. However, the world felt open and huge to me. Again as far as movement i expect that to be cleared up with GPU optimization. No problem with the cash shop here, bur I do understand everyones concerns on that. |

Hmm... Is there a reason why people pre-purchase a game without knowing what to expect? Even buying a Collector's Edition or a Digital Deluxe Edition sounds ridiculous. @OP Not at all. |

Already bought it dude. And, what's worse, one beta weekend pretty much spoiled every other MMO I was playing. They're all so shallow and 2004 now.... |

I'm glad I prepurchased it. While its not what half of the people here would have you believe its still a good game even if its far from being finished imo. Thoes of us who payed attention to what Anet has actually said and are capable of thinking for ourself knew the questing was the exact same questing as any other MMO just presented diffrent. And they did a good job of it. Thoes of us paying attention knew the combat wasnt going to be TERA combat but a mash of Tera and WoW style combat. It needs work on balance but its still good imo. Bascially GW2 is a fun game. But its not the alpha and omega of MMO's like fanboys would have you believe but nor is it a terrible WAR2.0 that haters would have you believe. Its right in the middle and its going to be great fun for alot of us. |

I played it on my roommate's prepurchased account. I really really disliked it. It just didn't feel like a proper MMO to me, maybe it was the teleporting around, maybe it was the limited character progression or the loading screens between zones...It just left a bad taste, but ;hey, to each his own. I'm sure people will play the hell out of it for years to come. I may try it again to see if they've improved it during the next BWE but there is no way I'm buying it. |

You are missing the obvious "I already purchased the game, you insensitive clod!" option. The BWE only confirmed my choice to pre-purchase. |

Bravo sir on creating a well-designed poll. "Loading screens" are not "instances". |

Originally posted by dzoni87 Your seriously asking WHY people don't research before they purchase? Did you miss the part where real life society in 2012 is just one giant advertizing mash up? Where there is nowhere you can go now and not get bombarded by advertizing or some sleazy slob trying to sell you something on a whim? The vast majority of people seldom research a product before they purchase it now because 1.) they have been conditioned NOT to research products before they buy, and 2.) The Internet contains 90% garbage and only 10% of anything that could be considered useful and truthful information. It's hard to know what to believe and when anymore to be honest. I am not attempting to Troll, but by default I am... to share a point.... MMOs now suffer from the same stupidity that the rest of the consumer market has suffered from for years. At lest we had a few years before the sleazy slobs took over MMOs. Don't expect most Players to research a MMO before purchase. Expect them to purchase on a whim or because their friends did and then be disappointed that the MMO was shallow, boring, and a rip-off. And I speak from personal experience... for I too have either not done my homework first, or did it in good faith only to discover later the sources of information I used to make my decisions had been untrustworthy. |

A non biased poll, I think this game definately has Great White Yeti factor for the simple fact it does what it advertised for the most part and feeds the empty void of immersion and PVP left buy the trash heap of boring WOW clones we have force fed. I mean if you think about it, WOW was never THAT great it just met the hype at the door and was simply head over heals better than the competition at the time. |

Originally posted by Gardavsshade Well, yea... i can understand where are you coming from. However, doing researches worked pretty well for me and never did i felt scamed for my money at any Video Game that i bought, including MMOs. Still, i am amazed by mentallity of consumers going downhill from year to year, despite technology advancing faster than ever before. Considering GW2, i know what i will and what i will not get in that game as whole, let alone beta test (which was pretty much what i expected, if not maybe even more). Certainlly, there are stuff I dislike in it, but still i think that the game is worthy of 50e and I dont fell ripped-off my money at all. Main MMO at the moment: Guild Wars 2 |
