Definately going to play both. I'll play the f**k out of D3 for the first few weeks, by the time GW2 comes out I'll be ready for it. Then I'll give that a go and I'll have two great games to go back and forth to for a long time!
It will be a great year for PC gamers. |

GW2 > D3. But it doesnt really matter I bought both already and neither one has a sub, they both will still be on my computer a year from now. No online game other than WoW and BF2 ever did that.
I want to be Uncle Owen again. |

I know, I know!! Buy Diablo3 and make lots of money in RMAH, then use it to buy GW2!!! Buy yeah, you can play both, you dont exactly 'lose' anything for playing betweenthem. Theres no subscription fees. Both have cash shops that lets you get more experience/funds/items (if thats what you need to catchup) |

And sleep is never important. |

Diablo 3 is pretty amazing, so if you're into action RPGs, definitely get that. Haven't had a chance to try out GW2, so don't know about that. But you can get both games? - vigilo confido - |

Originally posted by Jakard Because as innovative as GW2 seems, there's no chance it is going to outsell anything Blizzard makes. Blizzard could take a colossal dump, slap "Diablo III" on it, and it would still sell near a million copies within the first week. Why? Because it has the Blizzard brand name. Love or hate their games, Blizzard has tended to set the standard. They did so with the RTS genre (SC and WC) alongside Westwood Studios and C&C. Diablo I & II really did breathe new life into the PC RPG genre, and they were indeed the grandpa of the modern day MMO world. Finally, once again, for better or worse, they set the standard in MMO gaming with World of Warcraft. That standard has held up for 8 years, an eternity in PC gaming. They do this by giving a lot of polish, a world that really draws you in, balance in playstyles, and some good old fashioned raw exploitation on the addictive tendencies of human nature.

I bought both of them. I don't think they will come out anywhere near close enough to each other for it to be any problem playing and enjoying both of them. Especially since they're both subscription-free. |

Well, since GW2 probably has more ex-Diablo developers working on it than D3, I'm going with GW2. I'll pick up D3 once it's in the bargain bin so that I can play with my friends. (Barring out if TL2 and/or PoE are worthwhile.) Little forum boys with their polished cyber toys: whine whine, boo-hoo, talk talk. |

Not only are they not mutually exclusive, but one doesn't have a release date yet. Looks that D3 will give you at least a solid month or 2 to beat it before GW2 will launch. At least. If you can afford both, you can definitely play both. Neither require a subscription. |

Topic only makes sense if we're talking about how to fill the time until GW2 is released. Diablo 3 so far is a disappointment to me. I loved D2+LOD and that's why I'll be waiting for Path of Exile and not going to touch anything that has a Blizzard label for the rest of my life : ) But yeah GW2 can't come soon enough, most ppl I know who did the BWEs have a pretty serious withdrawal syndrome. |

I'm kind of past my item farming days so D3 isn't that big of a draw for me even though I spent most of my high school years playing D2. If most of my friends get it I just might to play through each difficulty once with a few characters, but that's probably about it.

Let's add a couple more games to toss into the mix of what you're going to play: TERA Skyrim xpac (Dawnguard) Hedonismbot: Your latest performance was as delectable as dipping my bottom over and over into a bath of the silkiest oils and creams. |

Eventually, the mmorpg with the developer closest to the customer will be the best mmorpg. |

I got nothing with D3 personally. To me it seems like going back in time lol.

Only Guild Wars 2 first of all a MMO just takes alot more time to invest plus i hate blizzard games just not good enough to even concider. So choice is easy at moment im totally focussed on GW2. Maybe next year Elder Scroll Online? I quit Guildwars 2 for now im fed up with empty world:(... played:AC-Darktide,AC2-Darktide,L2 and Darkfall.Solo Fav games:Morrowind,DayZ(PLAYING NOW), Skyrim, Bioshock, Age of Empires 2, Soldiers of fortune 2 and many more... |
