Really good graphically when cranked up to highest setting.

Still, up-and-coming ArcheAge is reallllyyyyy much more to my taste in graphics area. Gonna play Guild Wars 2 until it comes out (if it ever comes out in the west :-( )

I did notice that my character and his armour looked crisper, more detailed during cutscenes. So this could be true, as I have not found any official statement yet by searching the web. Just posts by other people claiming it to be so.

Or if someone's got a source, that'd be nice.

Lol its the mmorpg with the best graphics at the moment and this beta was running in DX9 so i don´t understand some things like Tera has better graphics or  any other mmo lol but ok. 

The one i seriusly have doubt if has better graphics or not is Age of Conan.

You're confusing several terms in there. Check out the other posts in this very same thread.

I will say that I was blown away by the art style and scale/scope of the visuals, but the actual graphics in terms of technical power/fidelity were a bit of a let down.

I was hoping my rig could run this game far, far better than it did.

The art style and "feel" of the visuals was top notch, and I have heard the game is pretty poorly optimized for gfx card hardware right now, so I am optimistic I will be able to crank up the technical graphical power/fidelity come launch.

There was a check box under video options to use "high resolution character models" or something.

Never turned it on, but I bet they are the models used in cutscenes.

I loved the artistic hand-painted feel of the graphics. Almost looked kind of cell shaded like Borderlands at times.

And Borderlands has thus far been my absolute favorite graphical style yet, though that new(ish) Prince of Persia game came close.

Guess I really like stylized graphics, though BF3's realism using Frostbite engine blew me away.

Even though this beta test was stressed on CPU and not GPU my computer handled the ultra setting verty well with no FPS loss or lag whatsoever.

I made this video. All graphic flaws are put behind a rock by this glorious art and world design. I'm very impressed, looks much better 'in person' than on videos.

I also know that gameplay trumps graphics, but still, there needs to be a little eye candy.

Honestly, I think on max settings, EQ2 has comparable graphics.

So, how impressed were you by the graphics. Are you playing any other MMO right now that has graphics that are just as good or better?

Better than WOW as good as Eq2? All three of these games have separate styles of graphics. What you talking about it personal choice. Which is completely subjective.

Yea, This video doesn't look all that good. Mine that I upload don't either. In raw format they look just like ingame but they are 2.5GB's so really can't work with that.

Graphics are not exactly the highest on the market but the game is still incredibly beautiful. There is so much attention to detail in GW2 that other games, even those with better graphics, just feel bland.

It's not about how many polygons you have. It's how you use them. Higher graphics are not enough by themselves, the aesthetics is what's important.
