Originally posted by Vortigon I agree. What key did you bind dodge too? Just curious as I'm not sure if I want to mouse bind it or a hotkey on my keyboard. And how does that work with direction that you move? |

Originally posted by Vortigon lol. Never happened to me. And I can't stand having a dodge under different key. Double tapping ftw! I wouldn't call that schoolboy error but a matter of preference. |

I am sure this has something to do with the way I am pressing my D-Pad but I have yet mastered it without accidently dodging at the worst times. |

I think I'm going to have to agree with this too. City of Heroes was my favourite for a long time and I've enjoyed some games since then but the experience was never quite the same until now. I only played a few hours and might be a bit overexcited but this game feels alive, the environments are amazing and the event based missions are a real refreshing change. I usually find it hard to get into Fantasy genre games but I think Guildwars 2 will be the one to do it. People might argue the merits of SWTOR over Guildwars 2 but IMO this game is much much better. |

Originally posted by elocke I have a razer naga and made a little macro for left and right dodge using my 4 and 6 buttons respectively. All I have to do is press it once, it double clicks and I roll. Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not. |

Originally posted by Size-Twelve Ha! You know, when I heard on the feeds that Lion's Arch would be introduced, I was like "who cares?" I'm not the biggest city explorer, particularly when there's a time limit on the BWE, but my friend and I met up there and explored the place and I had a blast, it was way bigger than I would have imagined, lots of amazing little touches and houses that you could actually enter, and when the game is released, the invisible walls off the shore will be removed and you'll be able to swim out to the ocean. I was impressed by something I thought I'd find dull. no GW2 won't kill WoW, but it's time to move on and quit worrying about those people still playing it. - eyelolled |

This is the funny line of everything you talked about.
It's been done for years, you just haven't played the games that incorporated it.
However, for most people playing Western MMOs, you are correct that it is a nice change.
MMO Combat as most know it is far behind Korean ARPGs sadly. After playing for about 12 hours I've lost four 1v1s and maybe five or six people that I was unable to kill. Win rate is around 80% because most people aren't objective based in the beta it seems.
Why?
Because I've played Mount & Blade and every Korean twitch MMO. Everyone will catch on really quick though because features in this game "make sense" and "feel right". |
