For those of you with access, how's the feeling(mostly positive/negative) on the official forum?

I haven't been able to get on the official forums at all. I don't know if that's good or bad, I just know that getting access is almost impossible, at least for me. I would love to hear what's going on over there too. President of The Marvelously Meowhead Fan Club |

mostly negative. Many of the threads you see me posting over here, are similar to over there.

Lol I actually see the opposite. official forums are very constructive. A lot of: I found a bug, this needs improvements. but overall most people enjoy the game. You know what is the best meter to judge wheter comunity like GW2 or not? In game chat. I found out that when in game chat is full of: I want to play game x,y. or that other game is better. it means people aren't enjoying what they play. I've yet to see anybody mention any other mmo in GW2. But I play on rp server. |

how surprising. fanboys liking GW2 on official forums. did u really expect anything different? oh and ingame chat: a huge amount of those people chatting already payed for this game and additionally for this beta and ofc they all are in denial of how dire the situation really is.
better try the game urself and get ur own opinion. i asked a friend to lend me his accoutn for a few hours to test it abit and boy am i glad i saved myself 70€.

Official forums have been overwhelmingly positive. They have like a team of people answering questions over there. They are commenting on future plans and addressing concerns pretty often.
Bt then, what do you expect from people that already paid for the game? :P SWTOR is the greatest mmo ever! |

Originally posted by ebonized I really don't understand these types of post that claim you need to give a mmo time before you like it. The first lvls of a MMO should INSTANTLY grab the players attention and make him / her want to play even more. Honestly I like GW2 but I havent had the same need to play feeling like I had when I first started playing WoW. Hopefully the issues get fixed and the game gets better tho. |

Originally posted by crossfire3 i agree a MMO should grab you from the get go.. and for me GW2 does a better job of this than any other MMO I have played.. honestly what other recent MMO has as much going on right off the bat as this game does? Tera you get a nice prologue then a boring starter island you have to repeat with every single character, SWTOR has good starting stories but the actual enviornments are dead and nothing really feels like its going on around you. GW2 you get a decent story plus a ton of stuff going on. Just wandering around you run into tons a events happening all over. Yes of course they repeat in a loop but at least they are there instead of the basic go from point a to b and rinse and repeat like every other game.. Honestly I dunno what peoples issue with the game is I'm having a blast I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg |

The official forum posts have changed some what as the weekend has gone on. Lots of people were angry over connection issues & lag, then moving on to gameplay issues but a little less of an angry tone though disappointment has lingered and today I think its moved on to a more constructive tone. Not just about bugs, people suggesting things they would like to see changed, removed, added etc. That's honestly what I see. Not mostly negative, nor mostly possitive. Somewhere in the middle, but constructive which is a change from lots of disappointment and anger.

My experience. MMORPG.com been the pub for whiners and haters. The official forum another story :-)

a large chunk of the serious/hardcore pvp crowd is disgruntled atm. not living up to the PvP GW1 was known for at all.

Gotta wonder why he posted that pic. It's a good example of people giving feedback and being postive with a couple of people that aren't finding fun in WvW.
