Hi all, i'm wondering if somebody here as the same issue than me and my son.

We were all excited about this beta weekend and the only thing we've been able to do is crated our caracter and we both crashed all the time as soon as we appear in the world  we could get a quick vue of the screen and zap... crash. Always with the same error

Exception: c0000005 

Memory at address 00000004 could not be read

We both tried with our respective pc and we both run on Windows 7. Since I'm a noob... i really don't know where to look.

I've send the question to the support staff of GW2 but of course I beleive they're kind of busy right now. Anyone would have any idea what is that error.

What kind specs you run xp 32bit and is all updated with latest drivers and windows update?

WIN XP-VISTA-7

or STILL 95-98-2000:p

Memory videocard CPUprocessor MB PSU?

I've been looking on the forum of gw2 earlier and some others seems to have the same issues but didn't have any solution either.

And since I'm a REAL noob =S i don't really know where to look. That's why I tough that here would be some more experimented people with this game whom may have seen this error before and give me a hint on what to look.

How could I get the information that you would need to know to help me? =D

I know that i'm actually trying to play on my laptop with Windows 7 installed .My computer is a Dell, Dual Core I have Direct X 11 installed but I don't know about any video card. How can I see that?

My son have exactly the same broblem as me and run on his own pc and he has windows7 too. And no pc issue somewhere else... only with this beta =(

yes i did that... didn't change a thing =(

Get a new copy of gw2.exe from anet and replace the original gw2.exe that you currently have. see if that helps.

http://www.memtest.org/ load it up on a cd and run it on startup. It will perform several tests on your memory dimms and tell you if they are ok. At the very least it will rule that out.

It is greatly appreciated. Now, somebody finaly told me, considering the specifications of our pc ( my son and me) that our video card ( well VRAM i beleive) was not enough performant and that was the cause of our problem.

Now, i would need to find a video card performant enough for GW2 ands compatible with the Dell Dimension e520 and after reading on the net I thing that is not quite easy =(
