I can't get in either, though that isn't saying much since I haven't managed to get much playing at all yes (character creation must have crashed on me a good 30 times by now). The beta forums are down too, so I reckon their entire system just became toast. |

Login servers most likely having a bit of trouble, I noticed that apparently it also affected the guild function, and other functions such as trade post.

Seems like its back to being down today. And I just got out of the overflow server >_<. BTW Overflow is pretty neat. I always wished you could play the game while waiting for the game to load. This is the closest thing to it. Also,I don't see how people say they've been trying to play all weekend and haven't been able to play more than 1 hour. It's one thing to say that they've been busy that's why they couldn't play, but most of the posts seem to try to blame on the downtime. I've been playing since 11:45 PDT friday and it's been down a total of probably 1 hour, which is frustrating cuz the game is fun, but expected being the first public beta. Same goes with 3 of my friends playing with me. Usually knowing the my chars gonna get wiped would deter from playing any further, but I'm having too much fun figuring out skills, timing and techniques. One of the few games that I'm happy I pre-purchased. Especially because I don't need to pay a single dime to keep playing it afterwards.
TL;DNR: GW2 is down again, which is expected being the 1st public beta. I'm happy with the uptime for a beta and having fun playing it.

Definately looks like their authentication servers are down, 64.25.32.82, the last hop before trace route fails is a machine in the same subnet (64.25.x.x) as the authentication server which is replying saying it cant find a route to that IP... not good!
