I think mmo devs should hire some asians to make character animations for them and then quickly fire them before them screw the game up like they do with their mmos :D.

Err no, thank you. I dislike asian styled graphics. Pretty much the first thing I disliked about Tera.

I have really not hit any lag and I turned up my graphic to high on just about everything excluding shadows. Also remember they are getting hit in starter ares fast. As to skills that is all about early stuff. I like the animation so far. Though will say starting Mesimer Nor with Sword and close up was crazy. Made Elementist and she moved along nicely with her staff and off hand and distant skills.

I'm a fanboi of GW2. I try not to let that blind me, but I have seen and experienced a great deal of awesomeness for this game. I try to approch subjects with an open mind, and every time I see a thread like this one that is just abject hate, it upsets me. But of all the things said in these forums, I get cesored for that. I made no personal insults, and called the post a name. Its a POST.

tera had a smooth beta i didnt find any  negative problem to apoint tera everything run clear from bugs and the game deal very well with hyper population.

Err who talks about graphics ? This thread is mainly about very poor combat animations. I dont like asian graphic style eighter but if you look at TERA or Blade and Soul, put aside their ugly/deformed characters, their combat animations are very well done.

Yeah, if one is into the same quest model we get served for years now, but only even dumber as usual, I imagine he can prefer Tera. I take the events and questing in GW2 anytime over the boring and dull Tera questing.

lol.  I guess seeing my post Modded when that particular bit was going on was what set me off. Perrhaps it was not directed at me, but I was the only one visibly modded.

In Tera you atleast have different ways to level up.

In GW2 it's pretty much Personal Story > Event > Personal Story > Event...

some of the combat animations so far are really bad. I mean there is no getting aruond it. I do however like my Mesmer's animations so far, but they do feel very stiff.

I am new to GW2, but all this innovation talk seems a little off. Immediately upon entering the game is a quest giver, i thought we were done with those? And instead of standard quest givers, I just go to a location and join in, thats cool, but no matter how you deliver it, it is still a quest. Now I dont mind that, i understand quest are a staple practice in rpg games, I guess I just expected something a little more eccentric.

It is beta, so I will overlook the lag, server login issues, and clunky animations.

The performance of the game is horrid. I dont get all these people saying they are getting 100fps at all times. I have a 2700k and a 680 gtx, and yes it isnt optimized for gpu, i get it, but when i start turning things down, the game still plays choppy. I am no where near 100fps, and when a large group comes by it drops even further. It is still playable, I guess i been spoiled by everygame and MMO i own running perfectly smooth (except Vanguard, sheesh that game needs some optimization badly).

It is beta, so I will overlook the horrid performance issues.

but still....

Edit: it is unfair to give an advantage to Tera open beta weekend, the game has been out in Korea/Japan for a while, at the sametime shame on the people blindly taking shots at Tera Online without ever even playing it. This is no "us vs them" you should be thankful we even HAVE MMOs that are trying something different. Tera with their combat, and GW2 with their story-questing, AT LEAST IT IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
