For those who are still on the fence about server selection, choose Fort Aspenwood. WvWvW is the holy grail of PvP and we would love to see the community take an active part in this. I was one of the main talking heads organizing the RIFT OWPVP server (Briarcliff) and that was a huge success; I brought the masses to the fatman server on SW:TOR and it is one of the few heavily populated PvP servers left.

Some of you might know me, most of you probably don't. I been leading the guild Saga for almost ten years now. When we saw the servers all the major guilds were picking (Pretty much everyone heading to Maguuma,Sorrow's Furnace and Jade Quarry), I was shocked. WvWvW PvP works by server, or world, rankings. Putting all the heavy hitters in the same worlds is not a good idea. If your guild still has not picked a server and you guys are EXTREMELY serious about PvP, please, choose Fort Aspenwood.

You might remember me as the guy ranting and raving about the necessities of open-world PvP during the Alpha and Beta testing periods of SW:TOR. As far as MMO experience goes, I am a dinosaur. I was there when Richard Garriot was assassinated in UO and I remember the de-spawn of the Sleeper in EQ like it was yesterday.

My fondest gaming memories have all been somewhat involved with O-WPvP. For those of you who remember the glory days of DAoC or even Vanilla WoW, you understand that communities, guilds and even friendships are build on this. Raiding is a job, PvP is lifestyle. Our little niche of GW2 is relatively small compared to the rest of the community but we are a crazy bunch, with dedication not seen in years. I firmly believe that Guild Wars 2 will allow servers to become communities. You can do all the quests and PvE you like, but, a true rivalry between factions is built out in Mists, with WvWvW being king.

PLEDGE YOUR PVP GUILD TO FORT ASPENWOOD!

You and every other big guild. Read up on WvWvW mechanics.. you don't want a couple of servers steamrolling everyone else. There needs to be more diversity.

Given the caps on WvW zones and the likelihood that ppl will rush to WvW, I'm going with a server that isn't chosen by any group of players.

Don't queue me man.

Well they're going by rankings which means the BIG zerg guilds will rule. Maguuma is probably the biggest heavy hitter with Ruin, ZK, Aureus Knights and Condemned heading there (each guild has over 400+ members, all of them PvP pretty much exclusively..) Dark Haven has Almost Famous and HATE; Team Ice and Burning Legion are going to Jade Quarry.

Albeit you won't know the rankings but it's pretty easy to tell which servers will be on the top, at least for the first few months.

No guild or committed to one, but as a 8yr+ beta to 'the end' vet from swg and pvp enthusiast, i'll give Ft Aspenwood and y'all a go and see how it shakes out.
