When it's noon in Washington state at my aunt's house, it's 2pm here in Missouri (we're CST), so no that's not exactly right.  Why....I'm not sure, but it's not.  :)

Oi! there's more timezones than 2 within europe :P

In Netherlands it starts at 21:00 (or 9pm if you prefer), CET is currently on GMT+2 / BST+1 due to summertime.

Also in other games I had several guildies from other european countries that were 1 hour ahead of CET all year round.

Dang 4:30am Saturday morning for me :(

 Hey you don't know that for sure! Maybe the old quest sytem is better than these so called dynamic events, maybe skills that lock you into place are better than moving while casting skills, maybe BAMs are better than large world bosses that scale depending on how many people are fighting with no need to group up!

As for me, I'll def be dedicating my time to GW2 this weekend ;)

Once you've done dynamic events, you'll want to take the exclamation points from over the old NPCs heads and beat them to death with them. Trust me on this.

BTW, if you do that in GW2 your skillbar will change.

PST = -8gmt.... -7gmt when daylight savings time is in effect (now...remember "spring ahead, fall behind) during this, you set your clocks ahead 1 hour. thats why GMT went from -8 to -7

PST is also where Anet HQ is. Thats why it all revolves around this time. Its also where all the hot babes in southern california are, but thats a diff story.

NOW as it goes thru the adjoining time zones from west to east (Anet in the west) you have MST -6. (mountain standard time), CST -5 (central standard time), and east coasters with EST -4

If the whole time thing is just too much for you....forget it. Just get up tomorrow and just keep hitting the logon on button until you get in

Pretty sure i live in Oregon, and i'm pretty sure i'm in the same time zone as Washington State :) And i'm Pacific time... atleast thats what i'm told. it's 10:47 AM here, so i think it's 10:47 AM in Washington too :)

Okay I'm right then, thank you.  The BWE will start at 2pm CST (NOT 1pm) for me.  I'm in Missouri.

I don't think it's "too much" for anybody, but it if makes you feel superior to think so....feel free.  I was just thrown off by someone stating it started an hour earlier than I knew to be true for my time zone, that's all.  I'm 48 years old.  I'm pretty sure I've learned the time zones by now, especially since I have relatives on both coasts.  But someone had to state another time and being who I am....I had to argue with them since I knew they were wrong.  You know....like the cartoon says, "OMFG someone is WRONG on the internet!!"

I dont feel superior, i just know how to tell time, lol. I wouldnt of posted except for all the obvious confusion....really, all you need to know is your own time and how it relates to the time in question. and if you cant figure that out, then yes, i'm superior and you need to go back to school. i think i was taught how to tell time in the 6th grade?

This man speaks the truth....  I did however take the day off anyway...   Need to make sure I'm totally prepared for this.

I have disowned my friends and family and stocked up my fridge (which is next to my bed along with my gaming rig).  Still need to think about character names..  Well i've got about 12 hours to kill so no rush.

I've got a funny feeling its not going to go all that smoothly, but this is what testing is for  :)

Be prepared for problems... the US has a 3rd world network that can't handle any significant amount of traffic. Even if ArenaNet is prepared for the rush, the fail internet companies that connect you to them probably aren't.
