Both Avernum and The Legend of Grimrock are incredible, and are a great homeage to old school gaming. IE baldurs gate/wizardry etc. We need more games like these, their fun, inexpensive and satisfying. Long live any one that wants to make old school rpgs again! |

Both games are very fun. I think there's room for both old school and new RPGs. |

Originally posted by Crepitus while I agree I think new RPGS now a days are a hit and a miss, no doubt dragon age (1) and The witcher series etc are very good rpgs, newer rpgs especially ones for PC are very very laking lately. Old Rpgs are very fun because more emphisas goes into actual gameplay then graphics. |

Using words to talk of words is like using a pencil to draw a picture of itself, on itself. |

Loved those games and pretty much everything Spiderweb Software makes. I just wish more big name companies would go the old school route. I started going back to oldies like Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1/2, and Icewind Dale.. Kinda makes the new RPG scene a bit depressing lol Hoping for another Black Isle type company to pop up somewhere. Yes I have a dream… And its not some MLK dream for equality. …I wanna own a decommissioned lighthouse …And I wanna live at the top… And nobody knows I live there. …And theres a button that I can press, and launch that lighthouse into space. |
