If you hate grind, don't play a game that has grind. If you can stomach some grind, up to a certain threshold, don't play games that cross it. If you don't want to pay for boosts, but can't enjoy the game without them, don't play the game.
Yeah, it really is that simple. |

Got the email from Arenanet with link to beta. It is asking for the email/user ID and password which I created after prepurchased and registered the GW2 account. I have the userID but WHAT password are they talking about? I registered the prepurchase but there was no password requirement for that accept for the beta KEY they provided. any advice? I need to download the Beta client please. |

Originally posted by Honner It depends on the leveling. It will not feel like a grind in all mmorpg:s. But in a CS game that depends on people buying time savers/convinience items a lot of things will feel like a grind. For a lot of players that normally dont like "grinders" at least. Enough players must think there is a reason to visit the CS and spend money. Profit depends on that. |

Originally posted by Hurvart..... The idea of DE is to reduce the grinding feeling. I will disagree with you here, why mmorpg P2P are based on a grinding system? simple because they need to keep people on the game for as long as possible. That's why you cannot get a full set in 1 month even if you play 24h a day, I haven't heard if guild wars 2 have any limit on the karma, or number of times you can kill a boss weekly. Just like the P2P games does, daily quest, valor/honor limit per week, locked on dungeons or raids, etc. Some people like that system, I don't... That's why I'm looking for GW2 |

Originally posted by Betakodo I seriously doubt you have though this through. While I agree that cash shops in pay to play games is nothing short of a rip-off (looking at you blizzard), this is a buy to play game. In the long run your sixty dollars is not going to last very long when you consider what it takes to keep good quality servers up and running and a nearly 300 person development team employed building new content all the while paying for all of those excessive taxes being forced on us. Unlike Capcom, ArenaNet has not engaged in false advertising to sell thier game. They have been very open about almost every aspect of the game including the cash shop. Now if there really are items in the cash shop that violate what we have been told about what will be in the shop, then complain. If however they actually live up to thier word and are not turning the game into a pay to win game, then there is nothing to complain about. In other words think about what your are complaining about and it's function. |

edit spelling Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not. |
